MEDIA VISION SIGNS WITH LEADING MULTIMEDIA SOFTWARE DEVELOPER

HyperBole Studios to Develop Several Interactive Titles under the
Agreement

BEVERLY HILLS, CALIF. -- JUNE 24,1993 --- Media Vision (MVIS:NASDAQ), a
leader in multimedia for personal computers, announced today that it has
reached agreement with HyperBole Studios for several interactive
multimedia software titles. Media Vision will work with HyperBole on
development of a variety of new titles and will market and distribute
them. The terms of the agreement are not being disclosed.

This is Media Vision's first announcement of a software development
relationship since it formed Media Vision Multimedia Publishing earlier
this year. The first title resulting from this relationship, along with
all other multimedia titles from Media Vision, will be highly interactive
and take advantage of Media Vision's multimedia technology, including
16-bit (or CD-quality) sound and digital video. In addition to these
titles from HyperBole, Media Vision currently has approximately ten others
under development. Five of these are expected to be available this fall
for the 1993 Christmas season.

"We are committed to raising the bar for interactive multimedia software by
bringing to market titles which take full advantage of the entertainment
value and power of multimedia computing to offer a new kind of
experience," said Paul Jain, president and CEO. "The HyperBole team is an
exceptional group of artists who combine creative talent with technology
expertise. Their titles will not simply be computer translations from
other media such as books or movies, they will be designed first for the
multimedia computer. We look forward to showing the world the fruits of
our cooperation."

HyperBole Studios, based in Houston, has won numerous awards for previous
multimedia software titles, including the world's first interactive movie,
The Wrong Side of Town, which won the "Best of Show" at the first Computer
QuickTime Film Festival, and for the first original interactive multimedia
novel, The Madness of Roland. HyperBole also publishes an interactive
disk-based magazine called HyperBole: The Art of Digital Storytelling.
This award-winning publication is used in numerous universities throughout
the United States as a teaching tool.

"This kind of strategic relationship will be key to success in the
interactive content market," said Greg Roach, HyperBole's founder and
artistic director. "We are pleased to be working with Media Vision, one of
the companies that has made multimedia a reality today. Media Vision's
business, technical, and marketing savvy have made it a leader in the
multimedia business. Media Vision's goal of high quality, highly
interactive titles for the mainstream PC market dovetails perfectly with
HyperBole's artistic vision."

Roach is a frequent presenter on the future of interactive entertainment
before such forums as the American Film Institute, Digital World,
MacWorld, and Online Publishing '93, among others. In addition to his
direction of HyperBole's development efforts, Roach will serve as a
creative and editorial consultant to Media Vision's Multimedia Publishing
Group.

The first interactive title to result from the partnership between
HyperBole Studios and Media Vision will be available for the MPC
(multimedia personal computer) platform this fall and for the Apple
Macintosh in 1994. It will use originally-developed digital video footage
and will include HyperBole's new interface, called Virtual Cinema, which
will bring interactive cinema into the mainstream. No further details
about this product are being released at this time.

Media Vision's Multimedia Publishing Group was formed earlier this year to
take advantage of the multimedia distribution and technology strength
which Media Vision has developed as one of the leading suppliers of
multimedia hardware products for personal computers. Creative leadership
of this group is jointly headed by Stan Cornyn, founder and former
president and CEO of Warner New Media, and Min Yee, formerly vice
president of Microsoft's multimedia division and publisher of Microsoft
Press. Media Vision's Multimedia Publishing Group will develop some titles
internally and continue to establish outside developer relationships, some
of which are expected to be announced later this summer.

Media Vision's mission is to popularize multimedia by offering solutions at
affordable prices. Headquartered in Fremont, Calif., the company produces
a line of products ranging from systems and printed add-in cards to chips
based on emerging multimedia standards for mainstream personal computers.
The company sells its products through computer retail and mass
merchandising channels and to original equipment manufacturers, such as
IBM, Compaq, NEC, Sony, DEC, Philips, and many others.
