Flow Charting 3 Enters Third Year on Bestseller Lists

Company's Dedication to Customers' Total Quality Management Needs Drives
Sales

Morgan Hill CA -- June 1993 -- A quest for Total Quality Management (TQM)
by companies around the world has pushed Flow Charting 3 by Patton &
Patton Software into its third year on distributor's best selling software
lists. The program's popularity has also been fueled by Patton & Patton's
growing reputation for solid documentation and strong customer service.
"It's not surprising that Flow Charting 3's sales have been so strong when
you consider that the TQM philosophy supports a commitment to using
procedural flowcharts," says Bill Patton Jr., General Manager of Patton &
Patton Software Corporation.

"Add that to the fact that this company was founded by a quality control
manager; our own total quality management has been a priority for us. Look
at our manual. It was written clearly enough that 80 percent of our users
have never even used our technical support," says Patton. To help keep
customers informed and satisfied, Patton & Patton provides free technical
support, newsletters, and a free electronic bulletin board service where
users can download custom shape libraries. The program even comes with a
90-day money-back satisfaction guarantee.

In addition to procedural charts, the $250 (U.S.) flowcharting package is
used to visually demonstrate data flow diagrams, network diagrams, work
flows, training documentation and organizational charts. According to a
customer base survey recently conducted by Patton & Patton, Flow Charting
3 is used primarily as a management tool for business owners, managers,
and project leaders.

Patton & Patton released Flow Charting 3 in a Local Area Network (LAN)
compatible version last year. Flow Charting 3, version 2.11, allows
network administrators to generate usage reports; built-in metering
software automatically controls the number of people who can concurrently
use the program. Other enhancements include: file locking, an external
configuration file, chart file back-ups, autosave, improved memory usage,
and default chart settings.

The single user version can be used as a stand-alone or on a LAN and
retails for $250. Five packs are available for $995. A windows version is
currently under development.
