CASTELLE INTRODUCES FOUR-LINE FAXPRESS NETWORK FAX SERVER

Another New Product; Multi-Protocol Print Server Shipments Also Announced
at PC Expo

NEW YORK -- June 29, 1993 -- Castelle, Inc. today announced that a new
four-phone line version of its self-contained FaxPress fax server offers
users even more capacity. With FaxPress 2000, formerly known as FaxPress
3.0, each of the four phone lines can be individually configured as
send-only, receive-only or bi-directional.

Other benefits include fewer busy signals for those sending faxes to this
unit, increased output capacity for high-volume broadcast faxes, more
centralized fax communications management, and line routing. With the
FaxPress 2000 new line routing feature, incoming faxes received by each
line can be configured to print to a different network printer.

FaxPress 2000 is a special function network fax server for Novell NetWare
that makes sending faxes as easy as sending e-mail or printing from a PC
with full text, fonts and graphics and images intact. Any document that
can be printed on a laser printer can be faxed using FaxPress, and the
product also uniquely functions as a complete Novell network 2-port print
server.

Additional features include full support of Microsoft Windows 3.1;
personalized and corporate phone books; extensive user preferences; e-mail
faxing using the MHS-compatible e-mail application or cc:Mail, secured
manual routing, and auto-routing with DID or DTMF for automatic delivery
of private faxes to an individual's workstation.

The four-line FaxPress 2000 will be available later this summer in both
Ethernet and Token Ring versions. Existing FaxPress one- and two-line
versions can be upgraded to four-lines. Details of the upgrade program and
pricing will be announced at product shipment.

At PC Expo, in booth #2178, Castelle will be demonstrating: one to
four-line versions of FaxPress 2000; the new compact, one parallel port
print server, LANpress 1P; and its recently available LANpress 1+1 and
LANpress 2+2 multi-protocol print servers.
