Dear User,

Thank you for your faxed (or paper-mailed) inquiry about how to
obtain files from Internet anonymous ftp archives of garbo.uwasa.fi
at the University of Vaasa, Finland, or other similar systems.

If you are not familiar with the concept of Internet FTP archive
sites, for practical reasons you should first try find a
knowledgeable person near you to help you with the basic concepts.
Universities (and a number business firms) are most often parts of
this net.

If you have access to Internet, and you have the facilities use FTP
(File Transfer Protocol) then utilize that possibility to connect to
an archive a site such as ours. If you are not familiar with FTP,
you are welcome to ask me for our prerecorded instructions for
garbo.uwasa.fi by electronic mail if you have a reachable electronic
mail address yourself. If you do not receive my reply within five
days, please ask your own site's system manager to construct a
returnable mail path for you.

If you don't have FTP then (but only then) consider the mail
servers. As explained in the above, I can send you our prerecorded
instructions. They also contain a pointer to Garbo's mail server.
Just send an electronic mail request for it to my email address. As
for the mail servers of the other archive sites, trying to provide
that information is beyond our scope.

I regret to inform that I cannot take the time to arrange sending
programs or other material from garbo.uwasa.fi archives by ordinary
physical mail. This kind of service is given rather by commercial
shareware distributors, and individual shareware authors.
