Sentinel logs when your computer is started to a file called Startlog.txt.

1. To Install for Windows 9x

2. To install for Windows NT/2000/ME

3. Optional Switches

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

1. Installing under Windows 9x

Run install.exe in the folder you extracted the files to and follow the prompts. The installer
places Sentinel.exe in your C:\ root directory (or the optional directory you specify)
and in your autoexec.bat file adds the line "Sentinel.exe" at the bottom. The Startlog.txt
file will be made in the c:\ root directory. If you want to run Sentinel from a less obvious
directory, just include the full path when the installer prompts you
(e.g., "C:\NewFolder\Secret\"). If you want the hidden attribute added to the log file,
hit Y when prompted by the installer.

2. Installing under NT/2000/ME

Sentinel was originally designed for Windows 9x users but NT/2000/ME users can also use
Sentinel to see when your computer is being started. If you are running NT, 2000 or ME
you will use the included installer. Instead, copy Sentinel.exe to your c:\ (or any
directory you want) and make a shortcut by right clicking on it in Explorer and picking
'create shortcut'. Find the main startup folder (for example, in 2000 it's often in the
"All users" folder. Navigate until you find the startup folder) and place the shortcut in it.
Now it will still run every time you start your computer and it will place the Startup.log file
in the folder you have the Sentinel program.

3. Optional Switches available

*Does not work in Windows 2000/NT*
You can add an 'h' switch to the end of the call manually at a later time if you want to.
You can use either the '-' or the '/' character to proceed the switch variable
(e.g., "Sentinel.exe -h" or "Sentinel.exe /h"). Then the Startlog.txt file will be hidden
and not seen by others (Unless "display hidden files" is selected in Explorer properties
in Win9x).

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Switches available(win9x only):

/h or -h	Applies the 'hidden' attribute to the log file
