Phar Lap Releases New Version 6.1 of TNT DOS-Extender, Enabling Developers
To Add a Windows Front End to Their Current 32-bit DOS Applications

Cambridge, MA - February 22, 1994 - Phar Lap Software, Inc. today released
Version 6.1 of its TNT DOS-Extender Software Development Kit (SDK), which
enables developers to write a Visual Basic Windows "look and feel"
graphical user interface (GUI) for their 32-bit DOS-extended applications.
Phar Lap's new technology is ideal for developers who want to create a new
Windows look for their "legacy" applications without having to rewrite
their entire program. Version 6.1 also includes support for Borland C++
4.0 and Borland Turbo DebuggerX, allowing programmers to use their
standard 32-bit Borland compiler and tools to develop their 32-bit
DOS-extended applications.

"With TNT DOS-Extender, Version 6.1, we're making it easy for developers to
take their existing 32-bit DOS-extended applications and turn them into
Windows GUI applications," said Richard M. Smith, president of Phar Lap
Software, Inc. "The resulting 32-bit Windows/DOS application has the look
of Windows but requires only a fraction of the development time that pure
Windows programming demands."

Phar Lap offers this technology through its WinPipe VxD (virtual device
driver), a collection of routines which allow a Windows user interface
program to communicate with a TNT DOS Extender application.

Version 6.1's support for the 32-bit Borland C++ 4.0 tools enables
developers to take advantage of powerful Windows NT capabilities while
continuing to use Borland's C++ compiler, Turbo Debugger, and BGI graphics
libraries. These capabilities include dynamic link libraries (DLLs),
threads, and multitasking, which allow developers to benefit from high
level NT functionality on their familiar DOS platform.

Phar Lap's TNT DOS-Extender SDK includes TNT DOS-Extender, Microsoft
CodeView 32-bit debugger, Phar Lap 386|SRCBug source-level debugger, and
all the components of Phar Lap's 386|DOS-Extender SDK. TNT DOS-Extender
also supports Microsoft Visual C++ 32-Bit Edition and other 32-bit
compilers.

Phar Lap Software, founded in 1986, is the developer of the award-winning
386|DOS-Extender and 286|DOS-Extender. 386|DOS-Extender has been used to
build over 1200 32-bit DOS applications, including Microsoft's FoxPro 2.5
and Autodesk's AutoCAD 386. 286|DOS-Extender enables developers to build
multi-megabyte 16-bit applications using their standard 16-bit Visual C++,
Microsoft C/C++, Borland C++ or Microsoft Fortran tools.

TNT DOS-Extender SDK, Version 6.1, is available from Phar Lap Software for
$495. Updates from earlier versions of Phar Lap's TNT DOS-Extender and 386
I DOS-Extender SDK are also available. For further information, please
