REPORTSMITH TO SUPPORT ORACLE WORKGROUP SERVER

Adds Powerful Reporting and Query Capabilities to New Database

SAN JOSE, Calif., March 15, 1994 -- ReportSmith, Inc. today announced at
the Software Developer's Conference held here that its ReportSmith 2.0
client/server database reporting and query product supports Oracle
Corporation's new Oracle Workgroup Server desktop database server
product.

ReportSmith enables Oracle Workgroup Server users to quickly and easily
query and create attractive formatted reports from data stored in the new
database--as well as in Oracle6, Oracle7 and most other SQL and PC
databases--using a visual, intuitive user interface. ReportSmith's
integration toolset, including OLE 2.0, DDE and a Visual BASIC-like macro
language, will allow developers to easily add comprehensive reporting and
query capabilities to Oracle Workgroup Server and other applications.

"Oracle Workgroup Server will appeal to many users who require a scalable,
preconfigured database solution right out of the box," said Ken Gardner,
president and CEO of ReportSmith. "ReportSmith is a perfect companion to
Oracle Workgroup Server because it provides a powerful reporting and query
engine that will extend the decision-support capabilities of the
product."

ReportSmith, installed in over 1000 companies worldwide, enables users to
query and create columnar, crosstab and form reports and labels from data
stored in PC and SQL databases. The product combines an easy-to-use
interface with a host of powerful report creation and integration tools to
appeal to all levels of users, from end users to developers. Its trademark
"live data" approach allows users to work directly and interactively on
the screen with live data rather than "placeholder" data.

ReportSmith, Inc. (formerly Indigo Software Corporation) was founded in
1992 to develop best-of-breed reporting and query products providing the
ability to access and communicate corporate-wide data easily and
effectively. Based in San Mateo, California, ReportSmith has 28 employees.
In January, 1994, Borland International, Inc. signed a letter of intent to
acquire ReportSmith. The acquisition is expected to be concluded in March
or April, 1994.
