San Francisco, CA--April 16, 1992--GO Corporation announced here today a
Custom Solutions Alliance designed to greatly increase the number of
custom solutions developed for PenPoint. Products represented by alliance
partners range from horizontal productivity applications that can be
customized for a specific use, to industrial-strength development tools
that support creation of complete custom applications.

The initial participants in this alliance are PenMagic Software Inc.,
Pensoft Corp., and Slate Corp., each of which has products that can be
used for developing solutions on PenPoint. These companies are authorized
to distribute GO's PenPoint Software Development Kit (SDK) along with
their respective development tools. In addition, the Slate PenApps
application builder will be available directly from GO.

GO has authorized both Ingram/Micro D and Merisel to distribute the
PenPoint SDK. Under the terms of the agreement, these national
distributors will offer the GO SDK to their VARs and selected resellers.
Both Ingram/Micro D and Merisel have created divisions within their
organizations which focus on the pen computing market. Ingram's Strategic
Product Group for Pen Computing will provide a broad range of value-added
services to VARs and developers. Merisel has initiated a new program
called PEN PAL which is designed to provide VARs with educational programs
on pen computing as well as a demo unit program.

Development on PenPoint can be done using either a pen computer or a
traditional desktop PC. The PenPoint SDK runs on 80386 and
80486-compatible PCs with a digitizer tablet to emulate a pen computer.
Because this development environment is readily available and cost
effective, many more people can develop custom solutions for PenPoint.

"Early customers of PenPoint have told us they need a variety of easy to
use tools for PenPoint customization. We want to facilitate PenPoint
solutions to our customers' business needs. Because PenPoint is
object-oriented, our SDK, combined with third party tools allows people to
quickly create custom solutions--in many cases without C programming,"
said Mike Homer, Vice President of Marketing of GO Corporation.

The Custom Solutions Alliance provides a spectrum of development facilities
for PenPoint, aimed at a broad segment of customers. These customers range
from commercial applications developers to corporate developers, VARs and
selected end-users who want to create customized applications.

Products

GO PenPoint Software Development Kit

The PenPoint Software Development Kit (SDK) is an object oriented
environment for developing innovative pen applications. It includes an
executable copy of PenPoint, as well as tools and documentation for rapid
development of PenPoint applications.

With the PenPoint SDK one can develop applications in C using the WATCOM
C/386 32-bit C compiler or build customized applications that run on
PenPoint using any of the application development tools described below.

Slate PenApps Application Builder

The PenApps application builder provides VARs, corporate developers,
systems integrators and consultants with a complete, flexible development
environment for creating industry specific applications for PenPoint
computers. Slate PenApps consists of an interactive screen designer, the
Slate PenBasic programming language, and a powerful database engine. It
provides an integrated design, test, and compile environment to simplify
the process of designing applications. Pencentric features arc built into
every PenApps application, making them very easy to use. "PenApps meets
the need for an industrial strength development tool under PenPoint," said
Vern Raburn, Chairman of Slate Corporation. "More than 400 developers are
using PenApps today to create a broad spectrum of applications ranging
from health care to sales force automation to insurance estimation."

SlatePenBook Electronic Book Software

PenBook electronic book software Lets companies publish reference materials
electronically on pen computers so that mobile workers can take reference
materials with them anywhere they go. Example applications of PenBook
publishing include technical reference manuals, product catalogs,
procedure manuals, service and repair manuals, and financial audit guides.
PenBook Bookfiles can be created from virtually any Macintosh or PC
application using the PenBook Converter program that translates any
PostScript format file into a PenBook Bookfile. Bookfiles arc then "read"
on the pen computer using the PenBook Reader program.

PenMagic Numero

Numero, from PenMagic, enables users, VARs and consultants to create
customized financial solutions without programing. Numero comes with many
pieces of electronic "work paper" which are themselves individual
financial applications. They include inventory, worksheets, accounting
forms, expense reports, audit working papers, and timesheets. This paper
can be customized or new work paper can be created easily using Numero's
paper design capabilities.

PenMagic offers two programs to support application development using
Numero. The PenMagic Solution Designer program provides training and
support for anyone assisting users to implement solutions using Numero.
For more complex requirements, the Numero Software Developer Toolkit
enables PenPoint programmers to write programs that interface to the
Numero database and to write add-in functions for Numero.

Pensoft Perspective

Perspective is a fully customizable personal information manager. Users can
tailor Perspective to create custom personal information management
solutions. "Perspective has been designed with customization in mind to
meet the information needs of mobile professionals in any field," said
Michael Baum, president. "Incorporating access to product data, pricing
and competitive information are just a few examples of how Perspective can
meet these needs as a result of its underlying object database."

Training and Support

As a part of the Custom Solutions Alliance, each of the participating
companies will provide training and support for their products directly to
customers. GO provides an extensive developer program which includes video
and classroom training, and a variety of technical support options. In
addition, GO will provide technical support to alliance partners to ensure
that customers are fully supported.

Availability and Distribution

The PenPoint SDK is available immediately for general distribution directly
from GO Corporation. Each of the alliance partners will have the SDK
available for distribution within 30 days. The PenPoint SDK will also be
distributed through Merisel and Ingram/Micro D. Slate PenApps 1.0 and
PenBook 1.0 will ship in July. Slate PenApps is available from resellers,
from GO Corporation, and directly from Slate. Training is available
through Slate Authorized PenApps Trainers. Numero will be available in
