NEW YORK, New York; May 15, 1991 -- If you design jobs for 4-color printing
on a PC, and can't seem to get the accent colors to closely match results
on-press, now there's a better way.

The award-winning TRUMATCH System for predictable 4-color specification is
available for the first time in software for IBM-compatible PCs with its
integration in CorelDRAW 3.0, which was announced today by Corel
Corporation.

The TRUMATCH System gives users the ability to select any of more than
2,000 TRUMATCH 4-color process values (yellow, magenta, cyan and black)
"by number" from an on-screen electronic color palette.

Corel president and CEO, Dr. Michael Cowpland, comments, "TRUMATCH provides
the most logical standard for 4-color separations, and we are thrilled to
have it in CorelDRAW."

Greater 4-Color Accuracy and Precision

The logically organized TRUMATCH System applies the 3-dimensional concept
of Hue/Saturation/Brightness (HSB) to 4-color space. A hallmark of
TRUMATCH is the smooth, even steps of color created with digital
precision. Developed on computer, the revolutionary system features more
than 2,000 proportionally gradated process color combinations, all of
which can be accurately reproduced on a 4-color press.

Color balance is held consistent by rounding off screen tints to 1%
targets. This maintains yellow, magenta, and cyan proportions and yields
colors that are gradated in smooth, even saturation steps.

The printed TRUMATCH Colorfinder displays accurate on-press results. This
frees desktop designers from having to specify solid-ink colors for
4-color jobs, and also from having to rely on the colors displayed on
their color monitors.

RGB monitor representations of process colors are only approximations. And
many solid ink colors cannot be matched accurately in 4-color process.

"With TRUMATCH, the designer can easily select lighter or darker colors for
headlines, borders and backgrounds without changing cast -- and with
assurance that any color selected is achievable on-press, where it really
counts," according to Steven J. Abramson, president of TRUMATCH, Inc.

Platform Independent

TRUMATCH colors can be selected in any software within process color mode
on any computer platform. The colors are generated automatically by
electronic imagesetters when files are processed.

Award-Winning System

The proportional gradation of 4-color in the TRUMATCH System is what
designers have never before had available to them. It is also -- among
other innovations -- the major "development breakthrough" contained in the
pending TRUMATCH patent.

Because it uses the computer's ability to electronically select and output
process color combinations with targets rounded off to 1% increments, the
TRUMATCH System provides a needed linkage between electronic color
representation and achievable on-press results. For this and other
achievements, TRUMATCH won a prestigious 1991 GATF InterTech Award for
innovative excellence from the Graphic Arts Technical Foundation.

Endorsed by 4-Color Experts

The TRUMATCH System is endorsed by Scitex, Linotype-Hell and GATF, as well
as Du Pont, which supervised the printing of the TRUMATCH Colorfinders
using Print Expert, the computerized graphics interface for controlling
printing with System Bruner. The TRUMATCH Colorfinder reference guides are
distributed by the Scitex Graphic Arts Users Association (SGAUA) and also
by Linotype-Hell.

In addition to its integration into CorelDRAW 3.0, TRUMATCH is available as
a color selection mode in Adobe Photoshop 2.0, Adobe Illustrator 3.2, and
QuarkXPress 3.1. Earlier this year the "TRUMATCH 4-Color Selector" was
introduced as an Aldus Addition to PageMaker 4.2.

Corel Corporation, headquartered in Ottawa, Ontario, is a graphics software
and multimedia/SCSI products development company. CorelDRAW, the company's
premier PC graphics package, has won over 50 international awards, and has
sold over 300,000 copies worldwide.

TRUMATCH, Inc., located in New York City, introduced the TRUMATCH System in
December 1990. The TRUMATCH Colorfinder reference guides, in both coated
and uncoated paper editions, are available at $85, each.

TRUMATCH is pursuing additional licenses of the TRUMATCH System with
companies which market desktop publishing software, color workstations and
color output devices.
