June 8, 1992--Evanston, Illinois--The award-winning SYSTAT statistics and
graphics software enters a new dimension of ease-of-use and power with
SYSTAT for Windows. SYSTAT, Inc. will announce the SYSTAT for Windows
package at PC EXPO in New York, June 23-25, 1992.

"The Windows environment makes SYSTAT for the PC easier to learn and use
than it has ever been," says Ken Kombluh, director of marketing for
SYSTAT, Inc. "The point-and-click interface also speeds tasks, and allows
you to generate accurate, reliable analyses and presentation-quality
graphics in a very short amount of time."

SYSTAT's QuickStat buttons let you analyze data sets with just a few mouse
clicks. A wide selection of statistical analyses--from simple descriptive
statistics to advanced analyses--can be accessed and applied to data
through QuickStat buttons. Graphical displays of analyses including
box-and-whisker plots and rotating 3-D graphics--can also be generated
using QuickStat buttons.

In addition to taking full advantage of the Windows interface, SYSTAT for
Windows allows you to work in either standard or extended memory modes.
"The extended mode option allows a user to run very large problems, which
in many instances will be limited only by the total amount of RAM
available," says Kornbluh. SYSTAT can analyze data files containing 256
variables and an unlimited number of cases. Data can be typed directly
into SYSTAT's spreadsheet-like data editor, or can be imported from
standard ASCII, dBASE, Excel, LOTUS, Symphony and DIF formats.

Statistical routines and analyses offered by SYSTAT include t tests,
cluster analyses, correlations, factor analyses. and multidimensional
scaling. SYSTAT's implementation of the general linear model offers a
variety of analyses, including: simple, multiple, and stepwise linear
regression; one-way and two-way analyses of variance; repeated measures;
principal components analysis; and canonical correlation. SYSTAT also
offers a number of nonlinear analyses, nonparametric routines (including
Wilcoxon and Kruskal-Wallis tests), and time series analyses (Fourier
analysis, nonseasonal and seasonal ARIMA, and others).

SYSTAT generates high-quality graphics ideal for use in reports,
presentations, and professional papers. The graphics are also very useful
in exploratory stages of data analysis, as tools for visualizing data
sets. Bar charts, 2-D and 3-D scatterplots, category plots, pie charts,
scatterplot matrices, function and probability plots, box plots,
histograms, and maps are just some of the graphics offered by SYSTAT. In
addition to generating graphics individually, SYSTAT allows you to overlay
plots and place multiple plots on a page.

"The Windows interface makes the graphics options highly interactive and
informative," says Kornbluh. Using SYSTAT's brushing tools (new with the
Windows version), you can click on data points and examine corresponding
cases in the data editor. Since Windows allows you to display several
windows on the desktop at the same time, you can view SYSTAT graphics and
data side-by-side.

SYSTAT's extensive on-screen help system, easily accessed by clicking on
Help in the menu bar or pressing the Fl key, adds greatly to SYSTAT's ease
of use. Inside the Help dialog boxes, you can find information on a
particular topic by doing a search on key words.

The four-volume set of manuals accompanying SYSTAT provides detailed
instruction in the use of SYSTAT, general information on statistics, and
many examples. SYSTAT, Inc. also provides unlimited, free technical
support to registered users.

Users who wish to create customized routines and procedures for SYSTAT can
do so with SYSTAT's programming language for data manipulation. For
example, analyses can be saved as command files and applied to different
sets of data. Since SYSTAT for Windows is compatible with other versions
of SYSTAT software, current users of SYSTAT products for DOS and Macintosh
are able to work with command and data files created on those platforms.

Later this year, SYSTAT, Inc. plans to release an update of SYSTAT for
Windows that will provide support for Object Linking and Embedding (OLE)
and Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE).

SYSTAT for Windows requires Windows 3.0 or higher, a minimum of 2 Mb RAM,
and 6 Mb of available disk space. A mouse, math coprocessor, and
additional memory are recommended but not required.

The retail domestic list price for SYSTAT for Windows is $895. Registered
users of SYSTAT for DOS can order the Windows version directly from
SYSTAT, Inc. for a special price of $195. SYSTAT for Windows will soon be
available through SYSTAT, Inc. and most dealers. For more information,
