ADDTECH UNVEILS LANPRO, A "SHRINK-WRAPPED" NETWORK DESIGNED FOR SMALL
COMPANIES OR DEPARTMENTAL USE FOR LESS THAN $10,000

NEW YORK, NY, June 23, 1992 -- Addtech Research, Inc., has unveiled a
complete networked environment called LanPro that includes a 486 file
server, three SlimPro network nodes and Novell NetWare Lite networking
software. The fully configured network is designed for small businesses or
divisions of large companies that require full networking capabilities but
have fewer than 25 users.

The 486 33 MHz file server is equipped with a 8 MB of RAM (expandable to 64
MB), a 340 MB disk drive, a 250 MB quarter-inch tape drive for back-up, a
1.2 MB, 5.25-inch floppy; a 1.44 MB, 3.5-inch floppy disk drive, a super
VGA graphics board with 1 MB of video RAM, a 14-inch SVGA monitor, an
Ethernet network board, 101-key keyboard, two serial ports and one
parallel port. The tower chassis is equipped to support up to eight
drives, four of which are accessible.

Each SlimPro network node is configured with an 80386SX 25 MHz CPU, 1 MB of
RAM (expandable to 16 MB), a 40 MB disk drive, a 1.44 MB, 31/2-inch floppy
disk drive; Ethernet networking card, an SVGA card with 1 MB of video RAM,
a 14-inch SVGA monitor, 101-key keyboard, two serial ports and one
parallel port. Networking software also is included. Options include a
larger local disk drive and a mini-keyboard.

"Buying and installing a network has been a complicated and exhausting
task, until now," says Mei Hsu, president of Addtech Research. "In the
past, it required hiring a trained network administrator, highly skilled
hardware technicians and a team of networking programmers. Not anymore.

"LanPro combines easy-to-use and easy-to-install local area network
software with the performance and local storage capabilities of a desktop
computer," she added. "Unlike traditional desktop system, SlimPro sits
beneath the monitor and, at 2 1/4 inches high, has virtually no
footprint."

The file server supports DOS, OS/2, Windows and Unix. List price for the
LanPro 486 file server and three SlimPro network nodes is $9,999. Other
LAN software packages also are available. Additional SlimPro systems,
complete with a SVGA monitor, Ethernet network card and software, list for
$1,699.

Addtech Research designs and manufactures motherboards, chipsets, add-on
cards and baseline systems, as well as the SlimPro booksize computer and
