CHICAGO -- May 29, 1992 -- Traveling Software Inc. today announced its
support of Newton, Apple Computer's personal digital assistant, by
developing connectivity software in coopration with Apple. Traveling
Software and Apple plan on providing connectivity solutions for Newton,
permitting data exchange between Newton and an IBM-compatible PC running
DOS or Windows.

"I've imagined a product like Apple's Newton for years and I'm excited that
this technology is finally here," said Mark Eppley, chairman and CEO of
Traveling Software Inc. "A key enabling technology for this emerging genre
of intelligent assistant products is communications. Apple has recognized
this early on and has designed this capability into the product instead of
as an afterthought. We're pleased to support Apple on this project."

Traveling Software plans to incorporate its Universal Communications Object
(UCO) into the connectivity software for Newton. UCO is a new
communications technology, developed by Traveling Software, that can be
designed into software applications to provide intelligent connectivity.
UCO can be adapted for use in any operating system and can run across any
type of connection such as a cable, modem, radio, or cellular. UCO is an
integral part of Traveling Software products including LapLink Pro and
WinConnect.

"Traveling Software has established themselves as a leader in portable
communications software over the past ten years. They have demonstrated
their expertise in the portable market with linking products for handheld,
notebook and laptop computers. We're pleased to be working with Traveling
