PRINCETON, N.J., June 23 -- NCR Corporation today announced that its new
System 3000 Model 3331 Multimedia Learning Station will use Intel's
ActionMedia II display and capture cards incorporating DVI technology.
Developed for business training applications, the Multimedia Learning
Station will allow users to play more than an hour of digital motion
video, combining it with audio, graphics and text.

"The inclusion of ActionMedia II cards in this powerful new system for
business users demonstrates the many applications and usefulness of
full-screen, full-motion video in the workplace," said Rick Stauffer,
marketing manager for i750 products. "The workstations with Actionmedia II
display and capture cards give users affordable, effective video on the
PC, where it can be edited, shared and stored."

The ActionMedia II cards are based on the Intel i750 B series
VideoProcessors that compress and decompress digital video for capture and
delivery on personal computers. Intel offers a comprehensive line of
multimedia building blocks that include hardware, software and the
ActionMedia II cards.

The System 3000 Model 3331 Multimedia Learning Station, available in a
number of configurations, operates in an individual or networked Microsoft
Windows environment with multimedia extensions.

It uses a variety of other technologies, including the Intel486
microprocessor, Fluent Machines' FluentView software digital video
playback, high-fidelity digital audio from Media Vision Inc., the AimTech
IconAuthor runtime module, and NCR's 77C22 graphics processor. Several CRT
display monitor choices are available.

The Model 3331 is the first in a series of multimedia workstations from
NCR. Prices start at approximately $5,300. It's available in August
through NCR's value-added resellers, distributors, original equipment
manufacturers, dealers, and system integrators.
