New York, NY, June 23, 1992 -- U-Lead Systems today announced ImagePals, an
integrated set of imaging programs for Windows 3.0 and 3.1 users, will
begin shipping in mid-July. The product will be demonstrated at PC Expo
(Booth #4282) in New York from June 23-25, 1992.

ImagePals lets users save time and create impressive looking graphics by
providing all the tools necessary for managing, enhancing, compressing and
capturing images. ImagePals consists of three programs: Album, Enhancer
and Capture. Designed to work together as an integrated system, ImagePals
allows users to save time and avoid switching between many different
programs to accomplish their imaging tasks.

ImagePals Album is the perfect image organization and management tool.
Users can create image albums similar to the way a photo album would be
used. Images in an album can be viewed in a variety of thumbnail sizes or
by filename. Album provides advanced searching and sorting options that
lets the user easily locate the perfect image. To edit an image, simply
drag an image or images to the handy tool palette and drop them onto the
ImagePals Enhancer application tool icon. The Enhancer program launches
and the images are opened automatically.

ImagePals Enhancer lets you discover the exciting world of digital imaging
by offering an extensive set of image enhancement, painting and retouching
functions in an intuitive, user friendly interface. Color correct by
adjusting the tones in an image or adjusting the brightness, contrast, hue
and saturation values. Apply filters to sharpen or blur an image or
selection. Use special effects filters like mosaic and emboss. Perform
image transformations including stitching, resizing, rotating and more.

ImagePals Capture provides advanced screen capture capabilities for
capturing, editing, converting, saving and printing any part of the
Windows display. Capture will grab a complete screen or just a portion of
it. You can edit, crop, add keylines and drop shadows. Save the image to a
variety of file formats compatible with major desktop publishing and
presentation programs. Captured images may also be saved directly to an
album or opened in Enhancer for further editing.

ImagePals also offers other useful features like JPEG
compression/decompression and a variety of image input options including
scanners and other imaging devices. For compatibility with other
applications ImagePals offers extensive file format and image data type
support. In addition, comprehensive status and on line help messages are
provided to guide users. "ImagePals was designed to take the frustration
out of working with images and let the user's imagination and creativity
take control," says Liming Chen, President of U-Lead Systems.

In short, ImagePals is the desktop imaging users friendly companion to help
make imaging tasks a breeze. It is expected to have wide appeal in the
following markets: graphic arts, presentation graphics, desktop
publishing, digital photography and multimedia.

ImagePals will be available in June through reseller and distribution
channels. Its suggested retail price will be $249.
