NEW YORK, June 23,1992 - Demonstrating it is the best source for reliable,
high quality printers and facsimile products, Okidata is showcasing its
line of dot-matrix printers, LED Page Printers and facsimile machines at
the Spring Comdex '92 trade show here.

Record Growth in 1991

During the past year, Okidata Page Printers have experienced tremendous
growth, and Okidata has received distinctions for its entire printer
product line from prominent publications and industry researchers
including J.D. Power and Associates, PC Magazine, Reseller Management, the
Gallop Organization and Consumer Reports.

"In 1991, Okidata had its ben year ever, obtaining new company sales and
volume records," said Dennis Flanagan, Okidata's president. "In our LED
Page Printer line, we gained significant market share, according to
industry market researchers, demonstrating the strength of our LED
technology.

"In the dot-matrix area, despite a decline in the overall market segment,
we expanded our market share. Our facsimile business during 1991 also grew
substantially, another tribute to the benefits of LED technology."

LED Page Printers

By providing high-quality, reliable LED page printers, Okidata has enjoyed
tremendous growth in the page printer market during the past year.
According to InfoCorp, Okidata has increased its total market share from
less than one percent in 1990 to 7.1 percent in 1991. Okidata provides a
range of LED page printers that deliver significant value and performance
while providing high-quality and reliable printing solutions for all
office applications in small and medium businesses.

The newest member of the LED Page Printer family is the OL810. An eight
page-per-minute (ppm) printer, it features OKI Smoothing Technology for
enhanced resolution and superior print quality. Specifically, the
technology produces crisper, clearer output by eliminating the stairstep
effect known as "jaggies."

The high-performance OL810 features HP LaserJet III (PCLS) compatibility,
1MB of memory for more downloaded fonts and larger charts and graphics; 13
resident AGFA Compugraphic Intellifont scalable outline fonts and 42
resident bitmap fonts for better looking documents and a professional
typeset appearance.

Offering additional graphics capability is Okidata's OL830, a true Adobe
PostScript business class printer that offers HP LaserJet II and Diablo
630 emulation. The eight page-per-minute (ppm) printer, which received an
"Editor's Choice" award from PC MAGAZINE, offers full compatibility with
existing HP PCL files, plus the sophisticated features of Adobe's
PostScript software, including industry standard font scaling, font
rotation, vector graphics and gray scale printing. The OL830's
autoswitching capability is provided by Printer Control Panel software,
from LaserTools Corp., which comes bundled with the printer. This software
automatically detects whether the application to be printed requires HP
LaserJet II or Adobe's PostScript software mode, and switches the printer
accordingly. Printer Control Panel is supported in both single user and
networked environments in DOS and Windows applications.

Okidata's high-end OL840 is designed to produce stunning presentation
materials, especially ideal for professional desktop publishers, graphic
designers or corporate communications departments. Built-in creativity
results from the printer's 35 scalable typefaces provided by Adobe, as
well as 26 HP II-compatible bitmap fonts in four typefaces. Among its
graphics capabilities, the OL840 reproduces scanned artwork and halftones,
and turns out complex graphics with sharp 300 dpi clarity.

Okidata's OL400 offers superior paper handling, more resident fonts, full
software compatibility and outstanding output quality in a compact design.
It was created to meet the printing needs of the corporate executive as
well as the home office user.

Dot-Matrix Printers

Leading off the Okidata dot-matrix line are its two newest "Super Tough"
members, the Pacemark 3410 and Microline 184 Turbo. The PM3410 is powerful
enough to leave a crisp impression on sheet aluminum -- or on the last
page of an eight-part form. With an increased speed of 550 cps, a
mean-time-between-failure (MTBF) of 8,000 hours, and dual continuous-form
paper paths, the PM3410 is designed for long-run applications that require
high-speed and reliability. The PM3410 is the next generation heavy-duty,
high-speed printer for the most demanding applications.

The 184T, especially effective in industrial and point-of-sale
environments, has a 300 character-per-second (cps) draft print speed -- 35
percent faster than its predecessor, the ML182Turbo. Also, its MTBF rating
of 6,000 hours is 50 percent longer than the ML182T's. The ML184T has
retained form-fit-function compatibility to the ML182T.

Okidata's dot-matrix printers are a favorite among Value-Added Resellers
(VARs) because of their reliable performance and innovative features.
According to RESELLER MANAGEMENT, the Okidata ML320/1 was rated first,
according to a survey of 3,400 dealers, VARs, SIs and consultants. Among
the printers being shown:

The Microline 320/321 printer is a rugged 9-pin printer that offers speeds
up to 300 cps in High Speed Draft mode, 250 cps in Utility mode, and 63
cps in Near Letter Quality mode. The 320 and wide-carriage 321 feature a
bottom feed capability with an optional pull tractor for keeping the paper
path short and straight. This feature reduces paper-feed problems when
running multi-part forms, stiff card stocks, and labels. A rear-feed paper
path incorporates a built-in push tractor for continuous forms, and an
automatic park features allows switching from continuous forms to
sheet-fed printing.

The Microline 380 printer is a 24-pin dot-matrix printer that offers six
built-in resident letter-quality fonts. It prints at speeds of 180 cps in
Utility mode and 60 cps in Letter Quality mode and offers 10, 12, 15, 17
or 20 characters per inch as well as true proportional spacing. The ML380
has an 8K buffer memory, three separate paper paths, paper parking which
allows for single sheet printing without removing continuous-form paper,
and power-assisted paper loading for cut-sheet operation. It has a short
tear feature and handles multi-part forms, stiff card stocks and labels.

The Microline 393 Plus and 393C Plus printer offers a wide-carriage 24-pin
business printer that features a high draft speed of 520 cps and a letter
quality speed of 140 cps. It has four built-in, letter-quality fonts and
optional fonts are available. It features a standard push tractor and
automatic paper loading. The printer has three paper paths, including top
feed for single sheets and envelopes, rear feed for fanfold paper, and an
optional pull

tractor that allows the bottom feed to print labels, card stock, and
multi-part forms. The ML393C Plus is a color model featuring magenta,
green, yellow, cyan, violet and orange, as well as black.

The Microline 390 Plus/391 Plus printers are heavy-duty, letter-quality
printers that feature six resident fonts and proportional spacing. The
ML390 Plus and the wide-carriage ML391 Plus have a 90 cps Letter-Quality
mode and a 270 cps utility mode and offer outline, shadow, italic,
superscript, and double-high/double-wide capability. A paper park feature
allows for switching from continuous form to single sheet feeding without
unloading paper. Three built-in paper paths include top feed for
single-sheet letterheads, rear feed for continuous forms, and bottom feed
which using an optional pull tractor for card stock, chesire labels and
multi-part forms.

Facsimile Machines

Okidata's facsimile division has expanded with assigned dealers operating
in the significant U.S. markets. Okidata offers both thermal and
plain-paper machines, the latter growing at a rapid pace. Among Okidata's
machines to be shown: The Okifax 2100 which combines 32-level gray scale
with image separation technology to provide high-quality transmission of
documents that contain both text and images. Image separation technology
allows the Okifax 2100 to discern image from text and transmit both at the
highest image level. The Okifax 2100 transmits at 13 seconds per page, and
features CCITT ECM and page re-transmission. It uses Okidata's proprietary
LED technology to provide significant performance benefits over
traditional facsimile printing methods. The Okifax 2100 offers a wide
array of state-of-the-art, user-responsive features, such as mailboxes
with confidential reception and password printing, a telephone/fax switch,
up to 640K of non-volatile static RAM document memory, and an alphabetized
telephone directory.

The Okifax 900 offers 15 pages of standard memory expandable to as much as
135 pages. With its automatic document feeder that can handle as many as
40 pages, the Okifax 900 has one of the largest send/receive capacities of
fax machines in its class. Its standard 9,600 bps modem is upgradable to
14.4K bps, enabling transmission of one page of text in less than seven
seconds. Other key features include: broadcast scanned documents from
memory to as many as 100 locations; scan documents into a "batch" memory
file for transmission at a later time; receive confidential faxes into any
of 16 secure mailboxes and print them out with the use of a password;
retrieve faxes previously received into memory from a remote fax machine
with the use of touch tone dialing signals; receive faxes into memory if
paper runs out; automatically generate a cover sheet to be transmitted
prior to faxed documents.

The Okifax 600 and 650 feature automatic paper-cutters; 10-page automatic
document feeders; one-touch autodialing of up to 15 numbers, as well as
two-digit speed dialing of an additional 70 numbers; standard 164 foot
rolls of thermal paper, instead of the 98 feet found in most competing
products; and CCITT Error Correction Mode. The Okifax 600 and 650 have a
space-saving design that measures 4.5 inches tall, by 15.3 inches, by 12.2
inches. The Okifax 650, designed for small and medium-sized businesses
