               Utilities to manipulate QWK-format Mail Packets

BugMail 1.05 by Mark Lussier

     Program to read specific text files and create REP packets.  Original-
     ly written and designed for supporting commercial software by reading
     a specific file filter (*.*, etc.) like error reports for uploading to
     a support BBS.  Designed for the developer by allowing him to config-
     ure the filter and conference information and disallowing changes by
     the users.

BW2QWK22.ZIP by Ronald E. Raikes

     Blue Wave 2.2 <-> QWK convertor program - Converts BlueWave mail pack-
     ets so they are readable by QWK mail readers and convert REP replies
     back to Blue Wave format.  BlueWave door by George Hatchew currently
     run on Maximus (1.0 and 2.0), Opus, QuickBBS (2.75 and up), Remote Ac-
     cess, and Telegard (2.5 and 2.7) systems with a port in progress for
     SuperBBS.  A port to TAG is on the list, with PCBoard, Wildcat!,
     Spitfire and TriBBS under consideration.

BlueQWK 1.20 (BLUEQ120.ZIP) by Geoffrey Sy

     BlueQWK lets you read/reply to Blue Wave mail packets with your
     favorite QWK reader.  It includes everything needed to integrate
     seamlessly into the 1stReader environment; but it works with all other
     QWK reader programs as well.  Best of all, it's free.

CatQWK 2.20 (CATQWK22.ZIP) by Patrick Lee

     Utility to combine one or more QWK files into one.  This program is
     entirely command line driven and supports the use of wildcard file-
     names.  It supports whichever archive program the user chooses to use. 
     It will create the PERSONAL.NDX file if told to do so.  It can be set
     up in under a minute and best of all, is free!

CISqwk 2.0b by Mark Lussier

     Bidirectional tosser between TapCis/OzCis and QWK mail readers.  It
     supports binary email, fax, and Internet routing.  It can toss mail,
     forums, and files.

CNAME2 (CNAME25.ZIP) by Hans Otten

     Program to rename QWK packets so the date of the file is included in
     the filename too.  CNAME2 offers user specified file specification;
     wildcards; up to six templates for placing the date in the filename;
     copy or move file after rename; log file; and guarantee unique file-
     name.

EZ-Utility 1.03 (EZUTL103.ZIP) by Eric Cockrell

     EZ-Utility will convert a mail packet in ProDoor ZipM format into QWK
     readable format.  It will perform the inverse -- from REP into text
     file that can be uploaded using the ASCII protocol.  It's freeware.

FidoQWK 1.18 (FIDOQ118.ZIP) by Geoffrey Sy

     This program is an echomail processor for FidoNet systems to transfer
     mail with QWK systems.  It does the same function as Q/R/TNet for QWK
     networks.  It allows any FidoNet compatible BBS systems to transfer
     mail with any QWK host systems.  FidoQWK generates *.MSG files which
     can be used for tossing by any Fido compatible boards.

Filter 1.62 (FILT162.ZIP) by Patrick Lee

     Utility program to re-create the index files so that they skip messag-
     es from a list of users.  This will let the user read the mail, and
     never seeing messages from those who the user does not want.  It is
     very fast and can filter up to 50 names.  It's freeware.

GEnie QWK 1.1 (GENIEQ11.ZIP) by David Goodenough

     Scripts and programs to allow a QWK interface to the GEnie on-line
     service.

Kill QWK Dupes (KQDUP110.ZIP) by Cody Gibson

     Program to quickly removes duplicate messages from QWK and REP pack-
     ets, even across multiple packets.  Kill QWK Dupes is compatible for
     multi-BBS, multi-door and multi-node operations; can be used by users,
     netmail Sysops and Sysops with QWK compatible mail doors.  It main-
     tains its own CRC file which is smaller than most other dupe checking
     mail doors.  And of course, it is very flexible and configurable.

LocalQWK 1.0

     Utility for Remote Access boards that can create QWK packets from the
     command line.  This allows Sysops to create mail packet for users
     immediately after mail polling.  This is similar to the feature Pre-
     scanning available on some doors.

Log2Qwk by Michael Schaefer

     Utility to take a capture log of WWIV messages and turn it into a QWK
     packet.  Then take the resulting REP file and generate Procomm script
     for uploading.

MailDB 2.02 by Carlos Goncalves Batista

     QWK message database that works as an add-on to a conventional QWK-
     format mail readers.  It tosses QWK packets into database as specified
     by conference, according to search text, with exclusions according to
     a twit filter, etc.  All major archivers are supported.  It also does
     TXT-to-REP conversion.

MessageFilter 2.00 (MF200.ZIP) by Robert Hoffmann

     Program to delete or separate messages from people whose messages you
     don't want to see.

MMIMP1.ZIP by Michael May

     Converts QWK packet into REP packet.

MNet 1.01 (MNET101.ZIP) by Doug Wilson and Chip Morrow

     MNET is a utility which allows any BBS with QWK/REP handling facili-
     ties the ability to participate in QWK-based conference sharing with
     other boards.  Instead of working directly upon the node bbs' message
     base, MNET converts the incoming net status QWK packet from the host
     bbs into a REP packet which may be uploaded into the QWK-mail facili-
     ties of the node bbs.  Likewise, it converts an outgoing QWK packet
     from the node into a REP which can be uploaded to the host.

NOTAG 2.20 (NOTAG-22.ZIP) by Thom Little

     Utility for Qmail Deluxe2 to strip tag-lines from reply messages.  It
     allows the user to either add his own tag-line or leave the message
     without a tag-line.

pdQWK for Builder 1.0b by Mark Lussier

     Function library and tutorial for manipulating QWK packets in the
     Builder language from HyperKinetix.  It does not support MKS$ numbers
     due to integer limitation in Builder.  This is freeware.

pdQWK for Clipper 1.02 by Mark Lussier

     Function library for Clipper programmers to manipulate and use QWK
     packets.  Comes as function library or class(y)/oClip library.  It
     even supports MKS$ real numbers.  This is freeware.

QWacK 0.96 (QWACK096.ZIP)

     Program to convert QWK packets to Blue Wave and Blue Wave *.NEW files
     to REP.  This allows Blue Wave reader to read QWK mail packets.  Note
     that Blue Wave version 2.10 and above has internal support for QWK
     mail packets.  QWacK is not needed if you are using Blue Wave 2.10 and
     up.

QWKDump 1.00 (QWKDMP10.ZIP) by Geoffrey Sy

     Dumps any conference or all messages from your QWK mail packet into
     text files similar to PCBoard message capture.

QWK IDX (QWK_IDX.ZIP) by Geoffrey Sy

     Utility to make or replace missing or munged index files for QWK pack-
     ets.

Qwkit 1.0b by Lyman Epp

     Qwkit will enhance your off-line mail reader with a tag-line manager,
     message filters, message signatures, strip Re: and (R) and more.  It
     supports OLX, SLMR, MegaRead, and others.

QwkMan 1.0 (QWKMAN10.ZIP) by Keith Brown

     QwkMan is a QWK packet merger.

QWKMerge 1.05 (QWKM105.ZIP) by Mike King

     QWKMerge is a utility which allows the user to combine several QWK
     packets from any one BBS into a single master QWK packet.  The result-
     ing QWK packet can be read by any QWK reader.  QWKMerge can automati-
     cally delete duplicate messages and purge messages which have been
     flagged by the KingQWK reader to be killed.  QWKMerge "untrashes" QWK
     files altered by other off-line readers.  It is entirely user
     configurable by BBS and by conference, and comes complete with a
     scripting language for unattended operation.

QWKNet (QWKNET00.ZIP) by Steve Hughes

     QWKNet takes a QWK packet and tosses the MESSAGES.DAT file into
     Squish-compatible message bases.  QWKNet will then read the Squish
     message bases and export messages into a BBS_ID.MSG file which then
     gets compressed into a *.REP packet.  Messages are then imported into
     Maximus message base.

QWKNet (QWKNET12.ZIP) by Keith Yox

     Basic non-system specific QWK networking package.

QWKPRUNE 1.02 (QPRN102.ZIP) by David Harden

     Utility to remove unwanted messages from QWK-format mail packets based
     on message headers.  It can also tag messages for processing by
     KingQWK and QWKMerge; remove (R) and Re: prefixes from subject lines;
     and repair QWK packets damaged by EZ-Reader.

QWKSCAN 3.0 (BBQWK30.ZIP) by Elliott W. Jackson

     QWKSCAN allows you to search for text inside QWK message packets or
     REP reply files using AND/OR logic operations.  It can filter out
     messages and remembers previously entered search strings.  It is com-
     pletely menu driven but can be run from the command line as well.  It
     provides you with means to save found messages to file or send to the
     printer.

QWKTXT45.ZIP by Jeffery Foy

     QWKTXT45 takes a QWK mail archive downloaded from a BBS & converts the
     messages into an ASCII text file.  The file containing the messages
     will be named MESSAGES.TXT.  Public domain with C source.  It is use-
     ful for archival purposes and supports more than 6,000 conferences.

REPLY UTILITIES 4.0 (REPUTIL4.ZIP) by Frank Y. Yates

     REPLY UTILITIES is a program to convert a batch of text messages into
     a REP packet for uploading into the mail door of a PCBoard BBS.  It
     can also convert a REP packet back into text.  Freeware.

RPost 1.01 by Robert Vostreys

     RPost is a pre- and post-processor for QWK and REP packets.  It can
     delete duplicate messages and spy/copy on messages.

STRIPQWK.ZIP (23 Dec 91) by Ron Janorkar

     Program to replace strings anywhere in a message (including tag-
     lines).  The user can delete tag-lines entirely or replace selected
     portions of tag-lines.

STRIPRE (STRIPRE.ZIP) by Patrick Lee

     Program to strip Re: and (R) from the beginning of subject lines. 
     These Re: and (R) make sorting messages a pain for many off-line read-
     ers.  This program is in the public domain and is distributed with
     Turbo Pascal source code.  It runs very fast and is a snap to use.

TAG3 (TAG3.ZIP)

     Program to remove non-Fido-type tag-lines from QWK-format message
     packets.  It also sorts tag-lines and remove duplicates.

TextMail 1.12 by Mark Lussier

     Command line driven utility to process ASCII files into REP packets
     for uploading.  Automatically splits files into multiple messages at
     user defined number of lines and supports any packer and both QWK and
     Fido -style tag-lines. TextMail will also append to existing REP file.
     This is freeware.

TWIT 2.10 (TWIT210.ZIP) by Matthew Briggs

     Program to twits messages by name or subject with wildcard characters. 
     It works with MegaMail DL packets as well as QWK packets.  It can be
     made to run automatically when importing a mail packet into MegaMail
     Reader too.  This is a freeware.  Version 2.10 can now keep a log file
     showing all the changes TWIT has done to a message base.

TXT2REP (TX2REP11.ZIP) by Geoffrey Sy

     TXT2REP 1.10 [19-Mar-92] - Utility to convert text file into REP mail
     packets that can be uploaded to QWK-format mail doors.  It operates
     from the command line, and will automatically create multiple messages
     if text file is too long.  This is freeware!

Uqwk 1.5 (uqwk.1.5.tar.Z) by Steve Belczyk

     Program to collect unread Internet email or USENET news and formats it
     into QWK packet, which is then downloaded.  It also accepts reply
     packets which can be mailed (if mailer understands "mail -s"), or
     posted (if B-news type of inews that understands -n and -t is in use). 
     Available as C source and compiles with ANSI C compilers.
