NEW YORK, June 23, 1992 -- Sharp Electronics Corporation announces that its
Wizard line of electronic organizers can communicate with virtually all
E-mail systems through a variety of public E-mail service providers.

This capability eliminates the need to carry bulkier, more expensive
notebook or laptop computers equipped with data modems for sending and
retrieving messages from IBM-compatible PCs, Apple Macintosh computers,
mini and mainframe computers.

"Combining the Wizard's powerful, yet easy-to-use organizer functions with
the ability to directly access company E-mail systems has created a
cost-effective corporate productivity solution for field personnel," says
Gil DeLiso, director, Sharp Wizard Division.

According to Sharp, nearly 11 million E-mail boxes are in use nationwide,
and this figure is growing 41% annually.

While almost all private E-mail systems require an intelligent terminal to
provide local processing, the Wizard can communicate with them without
modification by sending and receiving messages through public E-mail
systems, including AT&T Easy Link, U.S. Sprint SprintMail, MCI Mail,
CompuServe and GE Information Service.

Sharp's OZ-8000 series electronic organizers communicate with public and
private E-mail systems using built-in communications software and Sharp's
optional CE-350X 1200 baud pocket modem or OZ-8B02 Organizer Fax/Modem
(using standard TTY protocol). Communications software for the company's
OZ-7000 series organizers is available on an integrated circuit card.

Used extensively by professionals on the go for time and task management,
the Wizard line of electronic organizers combines a telephone, schedule
and memo files with built-in world clock and calculator functions in a
lightweight, handheld unit. PC Link accessories emulate Wizard functions
on a PC, allowing users to exchange Wizard data between IBM PCs or Apple
Macintosh computers.
