San Francisco--April 16, 1992--GO Corporation today announced that it has
signed additional agreements with strategic technology providers in order
to accelerate the development of hardware products for the mobile pen
computing market. SystemSoft and American Megatrends Inc. have licensed
the rights to provide customization services and software for PenPoint" to
the OEM community. These agreements build on the success of GO's existing
system enabler program.

The PenPoint Machine Interface Layer (MIL) is the lowest layer of software
code specific to a particular hardware platform which insulates the
operating system and applications from machine-specific dependencies.
PenPoint was specifically designed to isolate the system software and
applications from the hardware and peripherals through the design of the
MIL. This system design enables manufacturers to differentiate their
products while remaining compatible with the application base.

As members of the Certified System Enabler Program, American Megatrends and
SystemSoft are authorized to provide the services and software necessary
for getting a customized MIL and screendriver for their clients' pen
computers. In addition, the companies can provide additional products and
services that can reduce the rime to market for an OEM such as
"shrink-wrapped" hardware and software solutions as well as customized
support for peripherals.

"By developing a BIOS for GO Corporation's PenPoint, we're contributing to
the advancement of pen computing technology," said Tom Rau, director of
BIOS sales and marketing for American Megatrends, Inc. "GO Corporation is
taking steps to standardize pen-based architecture, and we're pleased be a
strategic part of its development."

Jonathan Joseph, V.P., Product Management at SystemSoft Corporation
commented, "We believe that having a single source for both the licensing
and customization of all of the necessary systems level software and
firmware will allow the OEMs to more quickly achieve a well integrated
solution for PenPoint computer systems. Our experience in working with
companies such as NCR and TelePad gives us the expertise to help our OEM
customers bring their products to market very rapidly."

Portable systems. particularly pen-based systems, require a tight
integration of systems software and hardware for compatibility, power
management, and pen l/O. The agreements with SystemSoft and American
Megatrends will facilitate development of PenPoint compatible computers in
many sizes, styles and prices.

Manufacturers benefit through fast time-to-market with unique designs,
application developers benefit through wide availability of compatible
computers, and consumers benefit through increased choice with consistent
look and feel.
