June 6, 1992 -- LONG BEACH, CA.--Tatung Company of America will showcase at
PC Expo in New York three 14-inch, low-radiation color monitors, the
latest additions to its line of flicker-free video displays.

Tatung's new CM14UAE is a three-frequencies low-radiation monitor that
supports 1024 x 768 non-interlaced resolution with a horizontal refresh of
48KHz, which makes for a sharper, more stable image than offered by most
other displays.

The CM14UAE has a vertical frequency range of 50-80Hz that meets the Video
Electronics Standards Association (VESA) refresh rate standard of 72Hz
which produces less flicker, thereby reducing eye strain.

Tatung's CM14UAE supports Super VGA, VGA, XGA standards as well as IBM
8514/A, Apple Mac II and compatibles. The CM14UAE has a .28 dot pitch with
31KHz, 35.5KHz, 37.5KHz and 48KHz horizontal frequencies.

The CM14UAE, which begins shipping now, carries a suggested list price of
$699.

Tatung is also introducing at PC Expo the CM14SAE, a dual-frequencies Super
VGA monitor that complies with the VLMF (very low frequency
electromagnetic fields) standard. This low-radiation model contains a yoke
that generates a reverse magnetic field canceling the most harmful
magnetic radiation emissions.

With its .28mm dot pitch, the CM14SAE is designed for professional and
business graphics applications and is compatible with the leading graphics
standards, including VGA, Super VGA and XGA as well as IBM 8514/A and
compatibles.

Tatung's new CM14SAE low-radiation display offers interlaced resolutions up
to 1024 x 768 and non-interlaced resolutions at 800 x 600; it has a
vertical refresh rate of 50-90Hz and a horizontal frequency of 31.5KHz or
35-38KHz.

Suggested retail price for the CM14SAE is $619; it begins shipping now.

Also shown by Tatung is the MM-14SAE, the 14" high resolution Super VGA
monochrome monitor. It features a flat screen CRT to enhance the viewing
and offers a maximum resolution of 1024 x 768 (interlaced) and 800 x 600
(non-interlaced), with a vertical frequency of 55-90Hz and a horizontal
frequency of 31.5KHz or 35-58KHz.

With its suggested retail price of $239, the MM-14SAE costs less than
comparable models on the market. It is available now.

Like all Tatung monitors, these three new low-radiation models come with
removable tilt-and-swivel base, non-glare tinted screens, a 110/220-volt
power supply for worldwide operation, as well as a one-year warranty on
parts and

In addition to its video display products, Tatung Company of America sells
a full line of personal computers that support ISA/EISA standards as well
as ASCII and ANSI terminals. It is an affiliate of the multibillion-dollar
Tatung Company, Taiwan's largest electronics and computer manufacturer
with over 22,000 employees in North America, Europe and the Far East.
