NEW YORK, PC Expo (June 23,1992) - DeltaPoint Inc., the award-winning
graphics software publisher, today announced the availability of
DeltaGraph Professional for Windows, an innovative new presentation
software package designed for both business and technical users.
DeltaGraph Professional blends the business charting and slide show
management features found in traditional presentation applications with a
full complement of data analysis tools and specialized scientific charts.

The release of DeltaGraph Professional for Windows also represents the
debut of presentation software's first Chart Advisor, a revolutionary new
feature designed to help pick the best chart type for the user's data. The
Chart Advisor is an optional tool available within the application that
offers a number of chart suggestions based on information entered by the
user on the data and target audience for the chart.

"DeltaGraph Professional is designed to support users at all levels --
whether they work with simple data sets or very complicated information
and ideas," said Ray Kingman, president of DeltaPoint. "By balancing its
unique data-driven metaphor with formatting flexibility every step of the
way, DeltaGraph Professional allows both experienced and novice users to
create powerful charts and presentations."

DeltaGraph Professional is targeted at professionals in business,
scientific and technical fields who require more extensive charting
capabilities than what is currently available in other presentation
software products. While DeltaGraph's slide show module plays a key role
in organizing the presentation of charts, data analysis and charting are
essentially the core functions of the application. This is demonstrated by
its gallery of 40 different chart types and 80 sub-types -- standard,
specialized and even discipline-specific charts. It also includes
comprehensive data handling and chart formatting, scientific and technical
features, and extensive libraries of time-saving, pre-formatted chart
templates.

The product is designed to accept data from a variety of sources, including
Excel 4.0 and Lotus 1-2-3 for Windows. DeltaGraph also supports DDE and
OLE links with both data and graphic objects. Users now have the
flexibility to create sophisticated charts that can easily be integrated
into documents being developed in word processor, page layout or drawing
programs.

"DeltaGraph Professional is unlike anything else in the crowded
presentation software market today," Kingman said. "It represents a
breakthrough in the category and a comprehensive alternative to all the PC
products that put charting in the back seat to presentations. We believe
there is room in the PC market and strong demand for a product that is a
charting tool first, and presentation application second. Our corporate
success thus far clearly supports that theory."

DeltaPoint originally released DeltaGraph on the Macintosh platform in
November 1989. It has quickly gained installations at more than 400
corporations nationwide, including NASA, E.I. DuPont, Lockheed, U.S. West,
and The Wall Street Journal. Today, DeltaGraph Professional has more than
100,000 end-users and Macintosh market share of an estimated 65 percent.

The launch of DeltaGraph Professional in the PC market is strategically
timed to meet the groundswell of corporate support for Microsoft Windows.
DeltaPoint is also leveraging its existing corporate user base to position
the product as a true corporate solution. This is especially critical
given the current corporate trend toward streamlining operations and
standardizing software. DeltaPoint's corporate users report a typical
PC-to-Mac ratio running as high as 5:1, and have expressed a strong desire
for a crossplatform presentation software standard. DeltaGraph
Professional is uniquely qualified to meet this need as the only product
in the category whose Macintosh and Windows files are completely
interchangeable.

FEATURES & BENEFITS

DeltaGraph Professional has a unique look and feel that distinguishes it
from other presentation software products on the market. Here's an
overview of its benefits:

* Charts. From bar, pie and organizational charts, to spider, bubble,
polar, contour, ternary, combination charts, histograms, scatter plots
with curve fitting, and many other specialized chart types, DeltaGraph
Professional meets users' charting needs at all levels.

* Chart Advisor. Unlike any other product on the market today, DeltaGraph
Professional provides users with expert guidance in selecting charts.
Whether the target audience is scientific or business, the data represents
a trend or comparison, or the desired level of detail is low, medium or
high, DeltaGraph quickly provides several chart suggestions based on the
parameters set by the user.

* Formatting. Unprecedented chart formatting options -- from coloring and
backgrounds, to sizing, placement, perspective, depth, and nine different
PostScript drawing tools -- give users the flexibility to customize charts
to their own unique specifications.

* Special Features. DeltaGraph Professional is uniquely oriented to the
data analysis and visualization needs of scientific and technical users,
providing standard and user-defined curve fits, error bars, logarithmic
scaling, true 3-D xyz plotting, and 50 mathematical functions.

* Templates. Custom Libraries provide numerous time-saving, pre-formatted
chart templates, and store customized charts as additional new templates
to use over and over with other data sets.

* Output. High resolution output of 1/256th of a point is possible on
PostScript output devices. DeltaGraph's presentation module allows users
to create on-screen presentations utilizing 32 different transitional
effects, and produces run-time versions for play-back without the
program.

DISTRIBUTION

As a new entrant in the PC marketplace, DeltaPoint is committing
considerable resources to channel marketing and education programs. In
May, the company began introducing DeltaGraph Professional for Windows to
independent resellers, chain operated stores and value added resellers
(VARs) throughout the country, with the start of a three-month TempReps
tour. As many as 1,650 stores will be trained on DeltaGraph's positioning
and target audience, as a means of helping dealers sell the product.

At the same time, DeltaPoint is initiating a variety of co-marketing
programs with resellers, including co-advertising, catalog listings, trade
show participation, and a number of special introductory offers. These
include a $98 competitive upgrade offer, a $39 special for reseller
employees, and a free copy of DeltaGraph Professional for every proof of
purchase of two units through distribution. Resellers carrying the
software include Egghead, 800 Software, SoftMart and Software Spectrum.
DeltaPoint's three major U.S. distributors -- Ingram, Merisel and Kenfil
-- are offering introductory specials as well.

"It's important to us that the channel understands we're in this business
for the long haul," said DeltaPoint's vice president of sales, Deborah
O'Connell. "We're doing everything possible to build strong channel
relationships that foster long-term success for both DeltaPoint and our
resellers."

NEW YORK, PC Expo (June 23,1992) - DeltaPoint Inc. today marked its start
in the PC Windows market with the introduction of the "Premier Customer
Services Program" -- a new customer satisfaction program providing
value-added support, training and educational services to its growing
corporate user base.

"DeltaPoint has always been uniquely oriented to the customer's needs --
whether in providing specialized product features not found in competing
applications, or a technical support team that always goes the extra mile
to solve the customer's problems," said Mark Towler, DeltaPoint's Director
of Customer Services. "The Premier Customer Services Program simply
formalizes and extends our existing company focus by dedicating additional
new resources to services that help customers maximize our software," he
said.

The company's new customer services initially include comprehensive 3rd
party and in-house corporate training programs, training materials, a
monthly newsletter, and an increased technical support staff.
Additionally, the company plans to add an on-call training team,
consulting services and corporate focus groups to the Premier Customer
Services Program later this year. These services are now under
development.

DeltaPoint designed the new program to provide support for customers of its
charting and presentation software package, which will be available to PC
users with the upcoming launch of DeltaGraph Professional for Windows. The
product's Macintosh counterpart -- with an estimated 65% market share --
already has gained wide-spread appeal among business and technical users
in aerospace, pharmaceutical, publishing, chemical companies, and many
others.

Here is an overview of the Premier Customer Services Program:

* DeltaPoint's "TechNotes" newsletter is a technical support resource that
provides helpful tips and shortcuts on DeltaGraph Professional, as well as
answers to commonly asked questions about its many features. With a
controlled circulation of approximately 1,000, TechNotes is distributed
free-of-charge to DeltaPoint's key corporate sites, including Boeing,
Lockheed, Eli Lilly and DuPont. With an invitation in every issue for
readers to submit questions, comments or suggestions, the newsletter
provides a forum for regular communications between DeltaPoint and its
corporate users.

* The "Authorized Training Center Program" is designed to establish 3rd
party and in-house training centers throughout the country. These sites
will be authorized to hold regular classes on DeltaGraph Professional, and
in return will receive extensive training materials (course work,
instructor's manuals, etc.), the company's monthly newsletter, program
updates, and a higher level of service and support from DeltaPoint. The
fee is $750 to become an authorized training center for DeltaPoint.
Companies may opt to purchase only the training materials for a lower fee
of $250.

Founded in 1989, DeltaPoint Inc. is a privately held company with
headquarters in Monterey, Calif., and sales offices in Boston, Chicago,
Dallas, Santa Clara and San Diego. DeltaPoint also has distribution
partners in Germany, France, Scandinavia, the United Kingdom, Japan, and
other key markets worldwide.
