BOSTON, MASS., February 11, 1992--Digital Products, the leader in printer
sharing technology, is featuring the PrintDirector Gold Turbo, a new
generation in printer sharing products that emphasizes both speed and
flexibility at NETWORLD BOSTON. The PrintDirector Gold Turbo series has an
output speed of 100,000 bps--the speed of the Hewlett-Packard LaserJet
IIISi. Currently most printer sharing products are limited to speeds
ranging from 2000 to 23,000 bps.

"The introduction of new high speed printers from Hewlett-Packard, Lexmark
and Data Products with speeds of up to 100,000 bps, shows that printer
manufacturers are committed to producing printers that can print business
graphics at the rated page per minute speed of the printer. Digital
Products is committing to producing printer sharing devices fast enough to
handle those printers," said Cornelius "Pete" Peterson, president of
Digital Products.

The PrintDirector Gold Turbo is available in 6 and 10 port models with
additional models scheduled for release in the second quarter of 1992.

Both 6 and 10 port models feature 2 parallel output ports with a maximum
output speed of 100,000 bps. For additional flexibility, printers may be
located up to 100' feet away from the PrintDirector Gold Turbo without any
degradation in speed. Normally, parallel connections are limited to 15'.

The remaining ports (4 on the 6 port, 8 on the 10 port) feature Digital
Products' Uniport technology. A special adapter converts any or all of the
"Uniports" into a parallel input port that support PCs printing out of the
parallel port up to 5000' away. When the parallel adapter is connected,
the Uniport automatically configures itself to support the correct
protocol. Uniports also provide support for both modular two pair and four
pair serial wiring and can be transformed into standard DB25 serial ports
with an adapter plug.

All Uniports are user definable as input or output allowing the
PrintDirector Gold Turbo to share additional peripherals including modems
and plotters or other printers.

"With Uniport technology, the PrintDirector Gold Turbo is not only the
fastest printer sharing product available, it is the most flexible. One
product does it all." said Peterson.

PrintDirector Gold Turbo can be installed in minutes without software by
using the factory default configuration. Users who want full access to the
Turbo's printer and peripheral selection software can use the easy
menu-driven installation program. DOCTOR diagnostic software is included
with the PrintDirector Gold Turbo to identify and, in many cases, correct
problems with cables and baud rates.

PrintDirector Gold Turbo offers two ways to select printers. AutoSelector
is a 2K TSR that, once configured and installed, automatically selects a
user's printer. AutoSelector also supports printing from within WINDOWS,
an environment that has previously provided problems for users of printer
sharing products. PDPop, a 14K TSR, lets users access the features of the
newest printers including duplex printing. PDPOP can be accessed from
within the user's applications software.

Users of multi-emulation printers such as the Hewlett-Packard LaserJet
IIISi will benefit from the AutoSelector's automatic emulation switching.
AutoSelector analyzes a print job as it sends it and automatically sends
down a command string to switch the printer to the appropriate mode, in
most cases either PostScript or HP PCL.

AutoSelector also analyzes print data to ensure a print job is delivered to
the correct printer. For example, if both a PCL and PostScript printer
were connected to the PrintDirector Gold Turbo, AutoSelector would ensure
the PostScript job was delivered to the PostScript printer.

"Sending a job to a printer set to the wrong emulation by the previous user
is one of the biggest complaint of users of multi-emulation printers. With
the PrintDirector Gold Turbo, users are better assured of printing
correctly the first time," said Peterson.

PrintDirector Gold Turbo includes all the features of the current
PrintDirector Gold line. For simple office connectivity users can easily
transfer files using the product's integrated file transfer software.
Mainframe users can share local laser printers with the addition of a 3287
protocol converter.

A maximum buffer of twelve (12) megabytes allows the PrintDirector Gold
Turbo to support data intensive printing environments such as graphics and
CAD/CAM.

The PrintDirector Gold Turbo 6 is priced at $995 and includes a buffer of
one megabyte (1MB). The PrintDirector Gold Turbo 10 port is priced at
$1395 and includes a buffer of (1MB). The Parallel Uniport adapter to
connect the PC to the PrintDirector Gold Turbo port is priced at $80.
PrintDirector Gold Turbo is available exclusively from Digital Products'
worldwide organization of full-service, authorized master value-added
resellers. The product begins shipping December 1.

BOSTON, MASS., February 11, 1992--Digital Products, the leader in networked
printing and peripheral sharing technology, is featuring LANSprint, a high
speed print server for Novell NetWare, at NETWORLD BOSTON. LANSprint
alleviates the bottleneck in LAN printing, allowing users to increase the
speed at which they print graphics data by as much as 30 times.

"With LANSprint, users of graphics packages such as Harvard Graphics and
Lotus Freelance are able to print 2-30 times faster," said Cornelius
"Pete" Peterson, president of Digital Products. "LANSprint will also allow
users to take advantage of the new faster printers, such as the
Hewlett-Packard IIISi and IIIP which are capable of going from 6-10 times
faster than most modern laser printers."

"LANSprint allows users to locate their printers anywhere on the LAN,"
Peterson added.

"I installed LANSprint in an ALR Powerflex/286 and attached it to my HP
LaserJetIIID," said Information Systems Manager Christopher Pinckard of
Turbomeca Engine Corporation. "The expert installation was extremely easy.
I ran several benchmarks using Aldus Pagemaker 4, Print Shop, Harvard
Graphics 2.3, and WordPerfect 5.1 and found there to be an average
increase in speed of 400% using LANSprint over Novell's PSERVER.EXE."

LANSprint is fully compatible with Novell's NetWare and provides a seamless
interface with NetWare print utilities such as PCONSOLE, PRINTDEF, and
Novell NOTIFY.

LANSprint also significantly improves the CPU power of a nondedicated

BOSTON, MASS., February 11, 1992--Digital Products, the leader in networked
printing and peripheral sharing is featuring LANSprint for VINES, a high
speed print server that increases the speed of graphics printing and font
downloads on Banyan VINES networks, at NETWORLD BOSTON.

When using LANSprint for VINES, Joe Francis, IS Consultant Administrator at
Carolina Telephone and Telegraph, saw his wait time to print a Lotus
Freelance document reduced from 10 minutes to 1 and half minutes, a speed
increase of 566%.

"LANSprint for VINES also reduced by half the wait time for printing out
faxes from our LANFAX gateway. Everything seems to print faster. I would
recommend LANSprint anyone printing on a VINES network, it's great," added
Francis.

According to Cornelius "Pete" Peterson, president of Digital Products the
problem of graphics printing on Local Area Networks is critical. "A single
page of business graphics could have as much as 400 times the amount of
data as a single page of text. These graphics documents, which are growing
in use and popularity, cause a network printing bottleneck. By speeding up
the printing of graphics, LANSprint for VINES alleviates the bottleneck
and increases printer and user productivity."

"Any VINES installation that has users of Lotus Freelance, Harvard Graphics
and WordPerfect 5.1, or any other presentation graphics package, will
benefit from the printing speed increases delivered by LANSprint for
VINES," added Peterson.

"Digital Products has provided a unique solution for network printing on
VINES," said David Penzias, Director, Third Party Marketing for Banyan
Systems Inc. "VINES users will be able to print faster and increase the
cost-effectiveness of their networked laser printers. "

LANSprint for VINES consists of software and an add-in board that can be
installed easily into a dedicated or non-dedicated client workstation. It
supports parallel cable runs of up to 100' rather than the usual limit of
