DFI INTRODUCES A PCI MOTHERBOARD

SACRAMENTO, CA-Diamond Flower Electric Instrument (DFI) will be shipping
its state-of-the-art Panther 486PCI motherboard to its worldwide network
of OEMs, distributors and dealers.

The Panther motherboard is designed around the new PCI architecture with
support for Intel's 486 and Overdrive CPUs. The PCI bus architecture
optimizes local bus support by allowing up to 10 peripherals to work on
the PCI bus at 33MHz. DFI has integrated accelerated IDE and super I/O
(w/ECP) on it's new Panther board leaving two PCI slots open for PCI
expansion boards. DFI's new motherboard uses surface mount technology for
reliable high-volume manufacturing.

POWERFUL PCI TECHNOLOGY

Specific features and benefits include: Intel 486 25/33MHz and Intel
Overdirve ODP CPU support (237 pin ZIF, 3.3 Volt support). 128K (SMD)
external cache, DIP sockets for cache expansion to 256k. Intel Saturn
ISA-PCI chipset. Energy Star Compliant. DRAM support expandable to 128Mbs
with four 36-bit SIMM sockets provided. Phoenix BIOS with boot block ROM
support. Connector for option off-board battery. PC/AT keyboard (optional
PS/2 keyboard and mouse). SMC 665: 2 serial (16550), 1 hi-speed parallel
(with ECP). On board FDD and HDD interface support (360K, 1.2Mb, 720K,
1.44Mb & 2.88Mb, accelerated IDE using Type F (fast) DMA. Seven total
slots: 4 ISA, 1 shared ISA or PCI slave & 2 PCI masters. Surface mount
technology, 4 layer PCB, single sided assembly. 9" x 13" (Baby-AT).

DEMONSTRATION AT COMPUEXPO

DFI will be exhibiting and demonstrating it's new Panther PCI motherboard
and PCI computer systems at COMPUEXPO in Las Vegas, September 9-11, 1993.
DFI will also be announcing their support and intent to manufacture PCI
