Microsoft Press Distributes Microsoft Win32 Technical Information

Microsoft Win32 Programmer's References

The MICROSOFT WIN32 PROGRAMMER'S REFERENCE library--the core documentation
included with the Microsoft Win32 Software Development Kit (SDK) is now
available from Microsoft Press in individual volumes in bookstores and
software stores everywhere.

These five volumes contain accurate and up-to-date technical information
about the Microsoft Win32 Application Programming Interface (API). Readers
get detailed descriptions, loads of source code examples, and alphabetic
listings of functions, data types, macros, messages, and structures. It's
the fast, inexpensive way to check out the world of 32-bit programming.
Each book carries a suggested retail price of US$20.00

Volume 1 (ISBN 1-55615-515-8) and Volume 2 (ISBN 1-55615-516-6) are
operating system overviews that cover window management, the Graphics
Device Interface (GDI), multimedia extensions, and application notes.
Nearly 2000 pages describe the purpose of the Win32 API and show how the
Win32 functions work together to carry out specific tasks.

Volume 3, at 768 pages (ISBN 1-55615-517-4), and Volume 4, which is 800
pages (ISBM 1-55615-518-2), provide detailed descriptions of each function
in the Win32 API, in alphabetic order. Each description includes the
function's syntax, purpose, parameters, and possible return values. Many
descriptions also contain additional information, such as whether the
function supports Unicode.

Volume 5 (ISBN 1-55615-519-0) is a detailed reference to the data types,
messages, structures, macros, and Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE) transactions
used by the Win32 functions. They are listed alphabetically by topic in
this 704-page book.

The five volumes in the MICROSOFT WIN32 PROGRAMMER'S REFERENCE library are
part of the growing Microsoft Professional Reference series from Microsoft
Press--authorized editions designed for serious programmers, consultants,
and corporate developers.
