Online Computer Systems Adds New Br0derbund CD-ROM Titles to Its Portfolio

June 26, 1993 -- Online Computer Systems, Inc., (Germantown, MD) is pleased
to announce the addition of two new titles from Br0derbund Software
(Novato, CA) to its portfolio of CD-ROM products for Education and
Libraries. The new titles, The New Kid on the Block and The Tortoise and
the Hare are part of the Living Books series of CD-ROMs and join the first
two best-selling titles in the series, Just Grandma and Me and Arthur's
Teacher Trouble. Both standalone and network versions of these titles are
available from Online. The network versions will be offered individually
or with Online's top selling OPTI-NET family of CD-ROM networking
products.

Created specifically for CD-ROM, the Living Books series brings a fresh new
dimension to reading including animations and sound effects, talking
characters, original music and narration. The New Kid on the Block,
children's poems by Jack Prelutsky, is Broderbund's first interactive
poetry book. Instead of clicking on objects, as in other Living Books,
children click on various words or lines and watch the animated cartoons
act out the selections. The Tortoise and the Hare, as told by Mark
Schlicting, is the first Children's Classic in Br0derbund's Living Books
series and is based on a fable by Aesop.

Additional titles offered in Online's Portfolio include Br0derbund's Where
in the World is Carmen Sandiego? CD-ROM Deluxe Edition, The New Grolier
Multimedia Encyclopedia, The 1992 TIME Magazine Compact Almanac, and
Online's Bookshelf? CD-ROM Reference Library by Microsoft. The OPTI-NET
family and Online's own multi-drive CD-ROM Tower units featuring SCSI
drives round out Online's extensive CD-ROM product offerings.

Both new titles, The New Kid on the Block and The Tortoise and the Hare are
priced at $49.95 each for a single workstation license. An eight
workstation license is priced at $195.00 per title. The new titles will
begin shipping in late September.
