COMPUTER CORPORATION OF AMERICA SHIPS IMAGINE/CUA

Report and Query Tool Lets PC Users Pull Data From Various Sources for
Fast, Easy Reporting

Cambridge, MA--July 12, 1993--Computer Corporation of America (CCA, a
Praxis International Inc. company, announced today that it is shipping
Imagine!CUA, a query and report tool that lets PC users pull mainframe
data from various sources, and download it to a PC for custom report
writing and use in desktop applications. Imagine/CUA is compatible with
DB2., SQL/DS, DL/I, IMS, Model 204, VSAM, SAM and other popular
databases.

With the announcement of Imagine/CUA, Praxis International and Computer
Corporation of America take the lead in providing open system,
client/server solutions for corporate-wide data needs. Imagine/CUA is the
first report and query tool to provide seamless access to all of the
standard mainframe database management systems.

In today's computing environments, important data may be spread out over a
diverse set of databases. Traditionally, employees had to rely on database
managers or MIS professionals to run complex programs and generate
reports, placing a tremendous strain on systems managers. With
Imagine/CUA, even non-technical users can define a report format,
designate needed data on their PC screen, and transparently access the
mainframe to gather data from various databases. The end user does not
need to know the underlying structure or even which database contains the
data.

"Imagine/CUA gives users throughout an organization a window into corporate
data. It shields the average business user from the complexity of
mainframes and multiple-database networks, while putting the power of vast
amounts of data directly into their hands," said Jeanne Friedman, Vice
President of Marketing for CCA.

With Imagine/CUA, systems administrators can provide direct end-user access
without losing control over crucial data. Security features ensure that
system administrators keep complete control over data and user access.

Features

* Seamless Integration of Diverse Data Sources -- Users transparently
access data from a variety of mainframe databases, including DB2, SQL/DS,
DL/I, IMS/DB, Model 204, VSAM, SAM and many others.

* Comprehensive Set of Query and Reporting Functions -- For querying, users
can define titles, page headers and footers, multiline formats, and sort
and select criteria. For reporting, Imagine/CUA provides automatic summary
statistics, such as totals, averages, maximums, minimums and counts.
Reports and queries can also include conditional logic and calculations
such as percentages. Report output can be printed on a mainframe or CICS
printer, downloaded and distributed over a LAN.

* Windows Graphical User Interface -- Using a mouse, users can define
queries easily and quickly with a special report definition editor. The
editor allows users to see what the report output will look like as it is
defined (column locations, header and trailer textual information, etc.);
it is not necessary to run the report to see what the output will look
like. Once output is generated, the data is automatically available on the
PC and can be copied and posted into other Windows applications such as a
word processor or spreadsheet. Output may also be defined in a special
"record format," such as Comma Delimited Format, and saved in a PC data
file for subsequent processing by other PC applications.

* Security -- Imagine/CUA provides comprehensive data security features.
"Userviews" let systems administrators define the data that each user or
group of users can see. Data can be protected down to the individual field
level. This ensures data integrity and also prevents users from
accidentally conducting queries against huge data sets that may shut down
critical mainframe operations. In addition, Imagine/CUA can be integrated
with several industry-standard security packages, such as ACF2, RACF and
Top Secret.

* On-line Help -- On-line help is available throughout Imagine/CUA,
eliminating dependence on paper manuals and interruptions to work flow.

Availability

Imagine is available now. System requirements include:

* Imagine on the mainframe (MVS or VSE)
* Microsoft Windows 3.1 with 1.5 MB available memory
* Microsoft Windows 3270 Emulator
  (e.g. IRMA, Rumba, Attachmate, IBM)
