STREAM TECHNOLOGIES INC. ANNOUNCES DOCUMENT BROWSER FOR WINDOWS

Document Browser provides multimedia support and transparent access to
several Internet services

ESPOO, Finland, June 15, 1993 -- Stream Technologies Inc. announced today
world wide availability of an innovative new application for document
management and document based communication in TCP/IP networks.

STI Document Browser for Windows is a network client application that
provides a uniform and seamless way of accessing a number of local and
TCP/IP based services and document formats. With it's inbuilt support for
most common TCP/IP service protocols Document Browser allows a user to
access practically any file or document available on the Internet or on
some other TCP/IP based network. A simple drag-and-drop operation can be
used to copy or move files or directories - even between services. Any
file can be viewed by a simple mouse click or sent as an encapsulated
e-mail message anywhere in the world.

Features of STI Document Browser for Windows include:

* Virtual file system support, based on the Store technology developed by
Stream Technologies. Currently supported protocols and file systems
include: FTP, POP, Gopher, NNTP, MH style mail message folders and an
intelligent mapping to the MS-DOS FAT file system.

* Multimedia and compound documents are internally represented in a form
of SGML markup. Automatic conversion to and from the emerging Internet
standard "MIME" is supported.

* A interpreter engine and a PostScript viewer application are included
for viewing PostScript files. The viewer can also be used as an OLE1/OLE2
server for including PostScript objects to other OLE compliant Windows
applications.

* Full featured SMTP/POP email client with multimedia extensions.
Directory lookup function with support for X.500 style directory entries
and portrait images.

* Individual copies of the Document Browser application are authorised
for use by a license key.
