RACAL-DATACOM EQUIPMENT, SERVICES SPECIFIED IN FEDERAL PROCUREMENT CONTRACT

June 22, 1993 -- SUNRISE, FL. -- Racal-Datacom has been selected as the
Wide Area Network Communications subcontractor to PRC Inc. of McLean,
Virginia in the federal government's Super-Minicomputer procurement
contract.

The Super-Minicomputer contract is the open ended procurement vehicle for
the Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, Defense Logistics Agency, and
other Department of Defense and civilian agencies of the federal
government. The contract allows federal government agencies to acquire
mini-computer and client server systems and data communications equipment
for a variety of operations, including office automation, data base
management systems and engineering applications. PRC believes this
contract will be the basis for much of the computer modernization efforts
within the U.S. Government.

Racal-Datacom products available to U.S. government agencies worldwide
under this contract include Excalibur Digital Access Products, Excalibur
19.2 kilobits per second modems, RMD 3222 (V.32bis 14.4 Kbps standalone)
and RMD 3232 (V.32 9.6 Kbps PC card) dial modems, Series 300 network
processors and Ethernet LAN terminal servers. All are managed by the
Communications Management Series (CMS) 400 component of Racal Management
System.

"Participation in this contract gives Racal-Datacom the right to provide
the data communications equipment and services needed by federal
government agencies, because the acquisition process, terms and conditions
of the sale have been predetermined by the long-range contract," said Dan
Latham, Racal-Datacom senior vice president of sales. "This contract
enables government agencies to acquire state-of-the-art technology using
UNIX computing platforms and wide area and local area networking."

"The U. S. Government, especially the Department of Defense, is
downsizing," said Michael Berman, PRC Vice President of Sales and
Marketing. "Consequently, the government realizes that thriving in a
downsizing environment is accomplished by better employing technology that
complements personnel. In fact, the government has to do a better job of
providing services with less available budget. This Super Mini contract
offers the type of products and services that will enable the government
to do just that."

The Super-Minicomputer contract is expected to be one of the largest IDIQ
(indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity) procurements ever awarded by
the U.S. Department of Defense, according to Joe Noel, director of
networking research at Dataquest, of San Jose, California.

The contract specifies five years for the procurement of hardware and
software, plus an additional four years for maintenance and support
services.

PRC expects almost 130,000 systems to be installed over the life of the
contract, ranging in size from five- to 25-user networked systems. The
pilot demonstration of the office automation operation was completed in
March 1993 and government agencies can begin using the contract now.

Other subcontractors with Racal-Datacom are mini-computer manufacturer
Hewlett-Packard, primary software vendors Oracle Corporation and Uniplex,
and workstations from Everex. The minicomputers will run HP-UX and the
Everex systems will run The Santa Cruz Operation Inc.'s Xenix UNIX board
operating system.

PRC, headquartered in McLean, Virginia, provides information systems and
services to government and commercial clients worldwide. With 1992
revenues of $734 million, PRC employs 7,300 persons working in more than
200 offices.
