SCHEMAx Windows Release 1.2

Version 1.20 of SCHEMAx, Omation's schematic capture package for Microsoft
Windows, has just been released. The new version is available in either 16
or 32 bit configurations for Windows or Windows NT. There is no cost
differential based upon the configuration chosen.

A new, optional module imports the schematic netlists of most major vendors
and reconstructs the schematic in SCHEMAx. Upon import, SCHEMAx searches
libraries for parts specified in the netlist and places them on the
drawing sheet. The designer is then given the opportunity to rearrange
parts if desired. Unknown parts may be drawn, created by modifying an
existing SCHEMA part or substituted. After setting parts, SCHEMAx engages
an autorouter to create wires between pins or labels as designated in the
netlist.

New features added to the base program include library print and plot
routines which allow the user to create listings or catalogs of library
parts, support for Tru-type fonts, ASCII drawing file output, and more
efficient resource utilization.

SCHEMAx is available from Omation Incorporated, 801 Presidential Drive,
Richardson, TX 75081, (800) 553-9119. SCHEMAx is priced at $595 and offers
competitive upgrade for $345 through August 30. The optional Netlist
Import/Routing module is available for $149.
