MPA-102
RS-232 Multi-Protocol Two Channel Adapter for the ISA Bus

FEATURES: provides asynchronous, MONOSYNC, BISYNC, HDLC, and SDLC
operations; SYNCDRIVE software included; jumper configurable as DTE or
DCE; 11 jumper selectable AT interrupts; 3 jumper selectable DMA channels;
programmable baud rate generator; RS-232 interface through two shielded
DB25 connectors

DESCRIPTION: The MPA-102 is a two channel, multi-protocol communications
adapter for IBM compatible personal computer systems using the ISA
expansion bus. The board uses an AMD85C30-10 Serial Communications
Controller (SCC) as standard. Options are available for Zilog 85230-10, or
-16 SCC. Each channel can support asynchronous, bit, and byte oriented
protocols and is equipped with a programmable baud rate generator. Each
channel of the MPA-102 meets the RS-232-D communication standard through a
shielded DB-25 connector, and can be jumper configured as DTE or DCE (the
second channel utilizes an additional ORB). The board provides standard
baud rates of 600,1200, 2400, 4.8K, 9.6K, 19.2K and 38.4K. Other features
of the MPA-102 include eleven jumper selectable interrupts (IRQ2-IRQ7,
IRQ10-IRQ12, IRQ14-IRQ15). The MPA-102 also provides for three jumper
selectable DMA channels (CH1-CH3) from two DMA sources. The MPA-102 may be
placed in a continuous 16 byte block anywhere within the available I/O
address space of the system.

TV-200/TV-300
RS-422/RS-485 Asynchronous Serial Adapter

FEATURES: two independent interfaces; AT bus (16 bit) compatible; RTS-CTS
control lines available; balanced RS-422 or RS-485 differential driver and
receivers; DTE/DCE jumper selectable; optional terminating resistors;
optional 16550s available; ANSUSMPTE output

DESCRIPTION: The TV-200 is a two port asynchronous serial RS-422 (TV-300
for RS-485) communication adapter with versatile interrupt selection for
the IBM AT. These adapters conform to the American National Standard for
television, digital control interfaces, electrical and mechanical
characteristics. The TV-200/TV-300 features the extended 1 6-bit AT bus,
which provides access to the computer's additional interrupts, and has a
versatile interrupt feature which allows the user to select the desired
interrupt, or to share an interrupt with another device. Users may select
from interrupts IRQ2-7, 10-12 or 14-15. The extended base address
capability of the TV-200/TV-300 supports any COM port. The TV-200/TV-300
comes standard with two independent 16450 UARTs which allow the user to
communicate to two separate devices. The 16450 supports baud rates to 56K,
higher baud rates and FIFOs are available with optional 16550s. The
TV-200/TV-300 adapters provide optional line terminating resistors on the
receive circuits.
