COSTAR DEBUTS WINDOWS VERSION OF SOFTWARE FOR ADDRESSWRITER AT PC EXPO

GREENWICH, CT--AddressWriter, CoStar Corporation's mid-range addressing
system premiering at PC Expo.

The new Windows software includes a full-featured Application, Print Driver
and Macros for the three most popular word processing programs. The
AddressWriter was introduced to eliminate the hassle and problems
associated with printing envelopes. It is designed specifically to print
envelopes. Once the printer and its software are installed, it only takes
seconds to produce envelopes. In addition, by automatically printing the
postal bar codes on envelopes, the AddressWriter speeds mail delivery and
lets companies qualify for postage discounts under the new postal
guidelines.

The AddressWriter is a small, impact dot-matrix printer that has been
specifically designed to print envelopes. In its standard configuration,
the AddressWriter holds up to 100 envelopes (up to 4.33" tall) thereby
accommodating the most popular envelope sizes in the U.S. and Europe.

With a separate label feeding module (SRP $75.00), the AddressWriter prints
on standard one-up pin feel labels up to a maximum pin-to-pin width of
5.25". The AddressWriter doesn't take up much desk space. It measures 8.7"
x 8.5" (HWD) and weighs just nine pounds (110 volt and 120 volt models are
both available).

The new AddressWriter Windows software encompasses three components. A
full-featured Application appears as a Tool Bar to design envelope
templates, manage mailing lists, print envelopes from a single document or
mail merge file without any additional keystrokes and more. A Windows
Print Driver is included for quick and easy envelope printing directly
from any Windows program, including databases, word processors and graphic
programs. And the software also includes macros that appear as icons for
easy access within the Tool Bars of three popular word processing
programs--WordPerfect for Windows, Word for Windows and Ami Pro.

Some important features of the AddressWriter software include:

* WYSIWYG display allows users to preview the label before
  it prints.
* AutoPrint feature allows users to print labels and documents
  simultaneously--no additional keystrokes required.
* Create and save templates that mix fonts, styles, sizes and
  graphics.
* Works with any Windows system font. ATM and TrueType
  compatible.
* Import, store and print mailing lists easily using the
  AddressBook feature.
* Accepts DBF files or creates lists within AddressBook.
* Network support for windows compatible networks including
  Novell and Lantastic.
* Includes POSTNET postal barcode incorporating Delivery Point
Barcode, the new 11-digit postal requirement for postage
  discounts.
