CANYON SOFTWARE RELEASES NEW VERSIONS OF DRAG AND VIEW
Graphics support, greater speed for Windows-based file viewer

San Rafael, CA,--June 18, 1993--Canyon Software, the San Rafael, California
developer of innovative Windows-based utilities, today announced the
release of Drag And View v.2, and a new product, Drag And View Plus, the
newest versions of its popular file manager add-on that displays files in
their native formats.

Drag And View 2 and Drag And View Plus focus on greater speed and
flexibility for viewing files, searching for text and launching programs.
New features include "quick button" bars for regularly used operations,
and a font choice dialog for customizing file views. Canyon Software has
also expanded the list of programs supported by these products to include
Quattro Pro for Windows, Paradox v.4, Paradox for Windows, Microsoft
Works--both DOS and Windows-based versions, Q&A Write (both DOS and
Windows versions) and Windows Metafiles.

A new innovation added to this version is playing "WAV" files (Windows
sound files). If you try to view a "WAV" file and you have a sound driver
installed in Windows, both versions of Drag And View will play it. There
is even a "Play" button to repeat playing the "WAV" file.

Drag And View Plus is an enhanced version of Drag And View that provides
full viewing of vector graphic formats. "Most users today have both text
and graphic files, whether from a word processing program, desktop
publishing or design and drafting," said Dan Baumbach, CEO of Canyon
Software. "We're giving people the flexibility to view all of their
files-- databases to drawings--as they appear, without having to load the
applications that created them."

Drag And View Plus is the company's first foray into non-shareware, having
licensed the Halcyon Vector Filter Library for viewing vector graphics.
Supported graphics programs include AutoCad (DXF), Computer Graphics
Metafile (CGM), WordPerfect Graphic (WPG), Micrografix Designer (DRW),
Hewlett-Packard Graphic Language (HPGL) and all PIC files.

A new version of Canyon Software's Fileman Launcher is included with both
packages. Fileman Launcher installs as a File Manager extension. Fileman
Launcher will run Drag And View each time File Manager is run. All of Drag
And View's features can be accessed through Fileman Launcher's menu in
File Manager. Users can add up to nine additional programs to Fileman
Launcher and run them with File Manager.

Drag And View 2 is a shareware product priced at $20. Drag And View Plus is
for license only, and is priced at $25. A shipping and handling charge of
$5 is added to each order. Both are available direct from Canyon
Software.
