FontGen version V.1 Released

VS Software (Little Rock, AR - June 1, 1993) has released FontGen V.1, the
latest version of its laser printer font creation software. FG V.1 adds
600 dpi bitmap font editing and full PCL5 header control and font
compression for the Hewlett-Packard LaserJet IV. The program comes with a
free 600 dpi FontPak including Souvenir, Park Avenue, and BHS (similar to
Bauhaus). An upgraded version of the VS Laser Word Processor Tool Kit is
included.

Initially released in 1984, FontGen was the first commercial laser printer
font editor for the PC. Now in its fifth generation, FG V.1 retains the
nine font windows, full-font editing, and intelligent scaling of its
predecessors. The DOS program includes a full C-et of graphic design and
editing tools and utilities to download the fonts and interface with most
popular word processors. FG V.1 requires 512k and retails for $295 .
Upgrades are available to FG V.0 users for $75 plus shipping.

VS Software, founded in 1983, is an ITC type foundry and produces a
Signature-Logo Editor (SLEd) and the VS Library of Laser Fonts, as well as
providing custom signatures, logos, fonts, and font cartridges.
