Aetna Purchases World-wide Site License For Folio VIEWS 3.0 Electronic
Publishing Software

Folio VIEWS Currently Saving Aetna $6 Million Annually

June 14, 1993, Provo, Utah--The Aetna Life & Casualty Company of Hartford,
Connecticut, has purchased a world-wide site license to Folio VIEWS 3.0
for Windows, the new PC-based electronic publishing software from Folio
Corporation. The agreement affords Aetna the opportunity to provide the
new software to its employees world-wide. Financial terms of the agreement
were not disclosed.

"Folio VIEWS has already revolutionized the way we provide information to
our internal clients," said Bob Shannon, vice president of Aetna
Information Technology, (AIT). "VIEWS is our single approach to getting
rid of paper manuals. We have eliminated virtually hundreds of manuals,
used by over 10,000 of our employees, with Folio VIEWS."

"Folio VIEWS is one of those rare products that provides a fast return on
investment, and is received well by internal customers and developers
alike. Our initial investment in Folio VIEWS paid for itself in less than
12 months and we expect an even faster return with Folio VIEWS 3.0."

This agreement is the latest activity in a long relationship between Folio
and Aetna. Through previous agreements, Aetna has purchased more than
10,000 copies of Folio VIEWS 2.1. In 1992 the two companies worked
together to off-load more than 100 gigabytes of commercial insurance
records from a mainframe computer to CD ROM. The information now resides
on a set of approximately 40 CDs, accompanied by Folio software.

Folio VIEWS 3.0 will be used in a variety of publishing applications
throughout the company ranging from on-line policy and procedures manuals,
to archiving commercial insurance records.

Doria Johnson, director, Electronic Publishing, who manages electronic
publishing for Aetna including the conversion of paper manuals to Folio
VIEWS format, says her group has created more than 140 infobases to date.
These infobases, she says, have saved the company more than $6,000,000
annually in paper, printing and postage costs.

As a long-time proponent of Folio VIEWS at Aetna, Johnson says "Folio has
been diligent in soliciting feedback from us and has consistently
delivered products to meet our requirements."

The Aetna Advanced Technology Services Group, managed by Diane Toscano,
determined that Folio VIEWS was ideally suited for replacing paper
manuals. "We feel Folio VIEWS 3.0 is a key tool for eliminating the
corporate bottleneck of accessing information that is stored on paper."

With regard to the agreement, Folio President Brad Pelo said, "Aetna is a
recognized technology leader with tremendous vision. We salute them for
their commitment to customer satisfaction, both internally and externally,
and are pleased that they have chosen Folio

VIEWS as a way to significantly decrease costs and further empower their
employees to find and use information to make better informed decisions."
