Knowledge Adventure Introduces First Virtual Reality Environment for
Educational Software

Isaac Asimov's Science Adventure 2.0 and Animal Adventure to Ship on
Diskettes or CD-ROM

SAN JOSE, CA., March 30, 1993 -- Knowledge Adventure, Inc., today
introduced the first virtual reality environment for educational software.
The company also introduced Isaac Asimov's Science Adventure Version 2.0
and Animal Adventure which will both feature virtual reality environments.
Knowledge Adventure's virtual reality environment is designed for use on a
standard personal computer and features the company's HyperScape
technology, a combination of the company's proprietary compression and its
interactive movie technologies.

Science Adventure Version 2.0 and Animal Adventure feature exquisite
photographic-quality images, illustrations, full-motion video displayed in
256-color VGA and an original score in full stereophonic MIDI (Musical
Instrument Digital Interface) sound, for use on a PC. Science Adventure
Version 2.0 and Animal Adventure will be available on diskette or on
CD-ROM.

"Imagine learning about science through full-motion video of scientific
developments, animations and simulations where you control the
experience," said Bill Gross, president and CEO of Knowledge Adventure,
Inc. "Or, imagine entering and browsing around an animal's habitat to
learn about the way various animals live. By combining these new virtual
reality environments with our full-motion video technology, the world of
animals and the world of science come to life in these two products.

"Using our proprietary compression technology and our interactive movie
technology, both Science Adventure Version 2.0 and Animal Adventure allow
you to navigate through a virtual reality environment, letting your
curiosity be your guide through this learning tour. Normally, a virtual
reality environment requires the power of a Silicon Graphics workstation
along with sophisticated imaging software; however, all that is needed to
display this virtual reality environment is a standard PC with a hard disk
drive and a VGA monitor."

Science Adventure Version 2.0 covers mankind's landmark discoveries,
experiments and inventions in mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology,
technology, ecology and astronomy. Using its high resolution virtual
reality environment, individuals of all ages can wander through different
scientific exhibits and along different corridors to explore various areas
of science. The product also includes interactive simulations and
experiments such as: planetary motion showing earth and moon rotation
around the sun, molecular motion; acoustic music and sound wave
simulation, and a simulation contrasting Kelvin, Fahrenheit and Celsius
temperature scales. Scientific discoveries and developments can also be
searched geographically by clicking anywhere on the globe and instantly
display the event that occurred at that place.

Animal Adventure is an exciting journey of discovery covering over 100
mammals, reptiles, amphibians, fish and sea creatures, birds and insects
as well as a section on ecology and endangered animals. The animal's
different characteristics are included such as species, senses, diet,
predators, life span, habitat, range and social habits. Through the use of
the virtual reality environment, individuals can enter and navigate around
an animal's habitat as well as navigating around the animals themselves.
Animal Adventure is appealing to young elementary-age children, yet it is
interesting and informative for adults,

Both Science Adventure Version 2.0 and Animal Adventure will be available
to consumers at major software stores, mass merchants, software catalogs
and direct marketing organizations during the second quarter. The
suggested retail price of either product is $59.95 for the diskette
version and $79.95 for the CD-ROM version. Registered users of Knowledge
Adventur's Science Adventure Version 1.0 will be notified of Version 2.0
and will be able to upgrade to this new version for $19.95, plus shipping
and handling.

Science Adventure Version 2.0 and Animal Adventure run on IBM and
compatible PCs, equipped with a VGA monitor and a hard disk drive. A mouse
is recommended. Over eighteen popular sound devices are supported, though
both products' sounds will play through the PC's speaker as well.

Blaster Pro and Sound Blaster 16ASP; Disney Sound Source; Adlib and Adlib
Gold; ProAudio Spectrum 8 and ProAudio Spectrum Plus/16; Tandy
