INTERGRAPH MOVES TO INDUSTRY SALES
U.S. Sales Force Reorganized In Line With European Model

April 15, 1993 -- Intergraph reorganized its U.S. sales force along
industry lines. using a model that's been in place in its European
operations for three years.

The company will offer "industry solutions" to customers in eight target
industries --government, utilities, transportation, process, building,
manufacturing/vehicles, electronics and publishing -- where business
models and practices get the most from Intergraph's technical hardware and
software.

An industry solution is a complete. integrated set of products -- hardware,
software, maintenance and value-added services. Services include business
process construction, systems integration, project engineering,
networking, training and application consulting and customization.

Greater Customer Satisfaction, Penetration

Richard Salva, vice president of sales for the Americas, says this new
industry focus should . . . "help Intergraph build a solid understanding
of customers' businesses, develop a clear strategy for each industry,
create products that solve specific industry problems and offer a
consistent view that ties all product development groups more closely
together."

His expectation is that customer satisfaction and account penetration will
grow right along with Intergraph's industry expertise.

"We think this is a natural outgrowth of the way we've been selling all
along." says Salva. "Our sales people have developed a certain amount of
industry knowledge in the normal course of doing their jobs," he adds.
"Don't forget -- we offer some highly complex, specialized applications.
They don't lend themselves to an off-the-shelf sales style."

ALLIANCE AND ACQUISITION ACTIVITY GROWS
Spans Consulting, Utility, EDA Fields

Strategic alliances and acquisitions are strengthening Intergraph's
position in the services, utility and electronic design automation (EDA)
