Pearl Software Ships Gnu Emacs for Windows

Oakland, CA, March 5, 1993 -- Pearl Software today announced that it is
shipping WinEmacs, a fully functional Windows 3.1 version of Gnu Emacs
19.3, the industry standard program editor. This program, produced
exclusively by Pearl, is made available as shareware, with technical
support and future updates offered by registering with Pearl.

WinEmacs is available with all Gnu Emacs source code and is fully
compatible with the Lucid Inc. Unix version of Gnu Emacs. WinEmacs offers
programmers the flexibility of using the powerful Gnu Emacs program on a
personal computer within a windows environment. Future upgrades will
support Windows NT.

technical support and future upgrades at minimal cost."
