Mathematica, Inc. Enters Education and Game Markets with New TEMPRA Vision
Product Line

(COMDEX--Las Vegas, NV--Nov. 16, 1992) Mathematica, Inc. begins shipping
TEMPRA Vision, a new product line which allows children and students to
express their imagination and vision. The TEMPRA Vision product line
brings the power of the TEMPRA painting, animation, and multimedia tools
to the mass market. Priced at $49.95, the product begins shipping to
dealers, distributors and mass markets this month. A CD-ROM version will
be available in the first quarter of 1993. The first edition, to be
released Nov. 23, will include an interactive coloring book ("Buzz Takes a
Vacation") and interactive story book ("A Day on the Farm"). Kodak Photo
CD support is integral in the product.

"Mathematica is proud to bring its multimedia products to the educational
and children's markets," says Derek Hodges, president and CEO of
Mathematica, Inc. 'We believe that providing a product with so much power
to children will tap their enormous creative vision and talent,
stimulating them in a way that static games and educational devices
can't."

The TEMPRA Vision product is a special edition of the TEMPRA GIP and TEMPRA
SHOW products, providing easy to use painting, animation, and multimedia
tools for students or children. Each edition of the TEMPRA Vision product
features a specific multimedia sequence for children to play with,
investigate, and expand using their own images, sounds, and animations.
TEMPRA Vision's strength over other children's interactive computer games
and books is the ability for children to modify sequences almost
endlessly, providing a higher interest-level and return rate. Children's
varied interpretation of their world and surroundings will come through in
their sequences. School study projects can be completed and stories can be
tailored for particular audiences (international character support is
provided for international markets).

Since 1986, Mathematica, Inc. has been developing computer graphics and
imaging software on MS-DOS and Unix-based PCs and RISC systems for AT&T
Bell Labs, AT&T's Software Labs, and Fuji Optical Systems. The complete
line of TEMPRA products are available to dealers through Merisel, Ingram
Micro, Tech Data, and Kenfil in the U.S.; Neidermeier Data Systems in
Germany; Lako Vision in Australia; and Phase 3 Communications in the
United Kingdom.
