SHOWNET TO CONNECT NETWORLD BOSTON ATTENDEES

Communication Links and Network Platform Survey Are Features of Show
Network at NetWorld, Jan. 12-14, at Hynes Convention Center

(Fort Lee, NJ, Dec. 30) -- Attendees at the computer industry's premier
networking and interoperability event, NetWorld 93 Boston, who use the
show network, ShowNet, will have access for the first time to expanded
computer communications features and an enterprise networking platform
survey -- exclusive to NetWorld. The show and conference returns Jan.
12-14, 1993, to the John B. Hynes Convention Center in Boston, MA.

ShowNet will be a cooperative effort between Bruno Blenheim Inc., producers
of NetWorld Boston, and Lante Corporation, a Chicago-based systems
integration firm. Lante will plan, design and install ShowNet, and several
NetWorld exhibitors will contribute their products and services,
including: Chipcom, Compaq, Hewlett-Packard, Lotus, Maynard, MCI and
Novell.

For the first time at NetWorld Boston, attendees using ShowNet will respond
to a special poll and indicate their choice of enterprise networking
platform for the 1990s, according to John Meyer, ShowNet project manager
for Lante. NetWorld attendees will choose from the top networking vendors,
Meyer explained. They will then have the option to use Lotus Notes to
discuss their choices in an online ShowNet forum.

"ShowNet is constantly evolving as both a real world demonstration of the
potential of connectivity and interoperability, and as a comprehensive
source of NetWorld show information. It is also an electronic forum for
communication of the latest news, issues and ideas," Meyer said.

Using ShowNet to access MCI Mail, NetWorld attendees will also communicate
to other show attendees, and business contacts throughout the world.
Attendees will be able to send faxes anywhere in the world, free through
the MCI Mail linkup. They can also receive messages through a personal
electronic mailbox.

During the show, Lante Corporation will conduct a ShowNet overview and
daily demonstrations of the network, at 11 a.m., on the third-level
Boylston Street hallway of the Hynes Convention Center.

In addition to the companies participating in ShowNet, more than 350
exhibitors will participate in NetWorld. Companies showcasing the latest
computer networking technology will include: 3Com, Banyan Systems, Borland
International, Cabletron, Digital Equipment Corp., Emerald Systems, Hayes,
IBM, Intel, Microsoft, National Semiconductor, Olicom, Proteon, SMC,
SynOptics, Ungermann Bass and WordPerfect.

NetWorld show hours are: Tuesday and Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and
Thursday, 10 am. to 4 p.m. The NetWorld Seminar Series will feature more
than 80 seminars. On January 11, NetWorld will feature nine Tutorials --
all-day, intensive sessions with an in-depth focus on a single topic.
