DIVERSIFIED INFORMATION SERVICES, INC. ADDS MORE POWER TO TIME MACHINE

New Enhancements to High-End Project Management Software for the IBM

STUDIO CITY, California (December 16, 1992)...Diversified Information
Services, Inc. (DIS) has added more power to Time Machine (g with the
release of Version 3 .2, It was announced by Ian Skone-Rees, vice
president of marketing. The high-end project management software for the
IBM (or compatible) now has increased capacity, a forms overlay feature,
stacked resource and cost plots and a macro processor. "With these
enhancements, Time Machine strengthens its position as the most versatile
high-end project management software package for price and performance,"
says Skone-Rees.

New features include:

Capacity increase

The new version can now accommodate and schedule 32,000 activities (without
the need for extended memory). Logic constraints supported by the system
has been bolstered to 96,000 activities.

Time Machine's reporting and charting generation capabilities have been
extended. Processing of an unlimited number of activities and the
generation of up to 1,000 sheets of output in a single run are now
allowed. "To facilitate plotting very large project files, the capability
to skip to a new page on user controlled code values has been extended to
allow titles based on these codes to appear in the page heading on each
sheet of output," says Skone-Rees.

Forms Overlay Feature

Provides the capability of combining printed Time Machine output with laser
printer form overlays to produce customized output such as company logos,
headings, boarders, divider lines and shaded backgrounds. The standard
report library has been expanded to include several customized reports and
accompanying overlays suitable for use with HP compatible laser printers.

"Every report can now have the user's company logo at the top," says
Skone-Rees. "Now users can be easily identified on the reports that are
generated."

Stacked Resource and Cost Plots

Curve stacking provides the ability to plot "stacked" histograms and
cumulative curves from Time Machine data Time Machine's scaling is very
flexible allowing these plots to be generated on any time base, from hours
through years.

"A unique feature is its ability to dynamically develop up to 16 layers
stacking based on a user assigned code field," says Skone-Rees. "The color
and fill pattern for each level is user controlled, with an automatically
produced legend identifying the code element represented by each
color/fill pattern combination."

Macro Processor

Time Machine's new macro feature allows the user to record keystrokes which
can subsequently be played back on demand. In addition to the macro
capability, Time Machine can be started with a batch command file. This
effectively provides the capability to automate many repetitive functions
such as the preparation of export data files, and allows Time Machine to
be invoked as a batch process, either from the DOS prompt, or by another
application.

Other unique features include the ability to combine hourly, daily, weekly
and monthly schedules in a single file, an integrated report writer and a
presentation graphics generator.

Curves can be prepared based on any available cost or resource data and can
be produced in a variety of formats, including bar, comparative bar,
point-to-point and level during any period. Like all Time Machine
graphics, the data can be scaled in hours, days, weeks, months, quarters
or years.

Graphic outputs can be sent directly to a pen plotter, or can be obtained
in DXF, DesignCAD or Windows Draw format for preview and/or enhancements
prior to plotting.

Time Machine comes with more than 50 pre-defined report formats and allows
users to create customized charts, bar graphs and other reports.

Ready for immediate delivery, Time Machine version 3.2 is priced at $4,500
for a single user application.
