two stamp identifiers: 
1. by topic - enter subject or name on stamp, gives all possible
   catalog numbers (currently has about 1500 entries) 
2. Washington/Franklin - enter what you know about the stamp
   (perf, watermark, paper type, printing type, face value,
   portrait, etc.) and identifier tells you all possible catalog
   numbers for your given stamp. Includes pictures that
   graphically shows you the various 2c and 3c types

1. colors - change menu colors using any of 127 color
   combinations 
2. backup/restore - save data files, recognizes unformatted
   floppy disks and will format them prior to saving data to

format and following sizes are supported; 640X480X16, 640x350x16 and
320x200x256. Only black and white scans are currently supported.

several reports available (built-in report editor will allow you to edit
these reports prior to printing them):

1. Want-list - manual entry or computer generated available. Want-list can
include catalog number and/or market values and/or descriptions.

2. Inventory - four types. Standard report with remarks field, standard
report without remarks, plate number coil report, and customized report
where user decides what kind of stamps and what data columns to include in
this report

3. Investment analysis - determine how much you've spent and the current
market value of your collection. Includes many detailed statistics by
type, source, and centering.

4. Mailbid/Auctions - report includes company name, closing date, lot
number, lot description, and your bid amount.

author's policies:

1. If you report an error, you'll receive a free upgrade containing the
fix

2. Yearly market value database updates are $10 (late November).

3. Major program version updates are $5 and all registered users are
notified 2 weeks before the new version is released.

4. Minor program bug fix updates (not usually advertised) are free if you
mail a formatted disk along with an SASE envelope with 52c in postage.

5. Technical support - by telephone (after 5PM EST), by mail (all responses
mailed back same day as received) or via CompuServe (all mail answered
within hours of you sending it)

6. When sending any payments directly to the author, mint postage stamps
are accepted at full face value (please keep the face value of each
individual stamp $2.90 or less).

7. Long term support is planned for this product. My software programs are
all related to stamp collecting allowing for quality support for
collectors. All ideas for new programs are welcomed.
