ISICAD SHIPS CADVANCE FOR WINDOWS

Users, Touting Ease-of-Use and Features that Establish a New Standard of
CAD, Prefer Software Package to AutoCAD

ANAHEIM, Calif., November 9, 1992 -- ISICAD, Inc., a leading developer of
graphics-based information management solutions, today released CADVANCE
5.0, the latest version of its popular PC-CAD software package designed
specifically to take advantage of the Windows environment.

CADVANCE's full implementation of the Microsoft Windows graphical user
interface and data exchange capabilities, coupled with its ability to read
and write AutoCAD native .DWG files, has created extensive demand for the
software package. ISICAD has shipped out over 2,000 copies of the
professional-level design and drafting package to resellers and end-users
worldwide.

The demand for CADVANCE is a result of its robust enabling technology.
CADVANCE's approach to Windows-based CAD establishes the product as an
integrated part of the Windows environment and a tool that enables the
linking of CAD with general applications such as word processing programs,
databases, spreadsheets and graphics design packages in the creation of
compound documents.

"With CADVANCE, ISICAD has demonstrated that CAD no longer belongs to just
the highly-specialized architect or engineer. Non-traditional users are
clamoring for a CAD package that can easily CAD-enable existing business
applications or harmonize with a suite of Windows-based office
productivity tools to maximize efficiency," said Yoav Etiel, ISICAD's
manager of business development.

CADVANCE for Windows is a full-featured, professional-level CAD package
completely redesigned for the Windows environment. It offers support for
virtually all Windows features including Object Linking and Embedding
(OLE) as both client and server as well as Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE) and
Windows Clipboard.

CADVANCE supports the Multiple Document Interface (MDI) protocol for
display of multiple views of the same or different drawings. It also
supports the display of raster images such as scanned blueprints, photos
and bitmap images. CADVANCE utilizes BASIC as its macro programming
language, and includes a full compiler, editor and debugger for
third-party development.

CADVANCE 5.0 is available immediately to new users for $1,995, a price that
is just over one-half of competing Windows-based CAD products. Users of
AutoCAD and other competing CAD packages can trade-up to CADVANCE for
$395. The upgrade is $295 for existing CADVANCE users.

User Reaction

CADVANCE 5.0 has been operating at beta sites worldwide throughout the
summer. Users indicate they intend to utilize the software packages as a
total solution for complete application integration in the Windows
environment. Secondarily, they see applicability for the software package
as an interface with AutoCAD so that they can easily share drawings in
.DWG format without worrying about lost information during translation.

Barbara Lolli is a full-time professional designer and part-time instructor
at Rancho Santiago College in Santa Ana, Calif. She received a grant from
the school to study available CAD programs. Lolli reviewed more than 30
CAD packages to determine those that offered the best features for
teaching students about computer-aided design. Lolli plans to order 20
copies of CADVANCE 5.0, citing its ease-of-use and ability to integrate
the package with other windows-based software packages as reasons for
choosing the software. With CADVANCE, Lolli is able to import logos from a
drawing package and add calculations, schematics and the original bid from
spreadsheet programs, as well as output drawings to rendering packages in
Windows.

"CADVANCE 5.0 is so intuitive. I have yet to open the manual and have been
able to draw complete three-dimensional designs, whereas with AutoCAD it
takes me more than 8 hours to complete a simple two dimensional drawing,"
explained Lolli. "CADVANCE will be offered to students so they can learn
about CAD in an easy-to-use environment." Lolli intends to make available
to students one AutoCAD package to every five CADVANCE packages.

Robert Staskiewicz, a CAD design systems manager with Denver-based Dennis
Miller Consulting Engineers, intends to transform his entire office to
Windows-based software so that he can integrate office productivity
packages with the CADVANCE 5.0 software that he has just purchased. Says
Staskiewicz, "Although 60 percent of our clients currently use AutoCAD, we
utilize the software package only as a support tool, working with all
files in CADVANCE before converting them to AutoCAD files for our clients.
We eliminated 50 percent of a project's time this way and don't lose any
information in the translation." Dennis Miller Consulting Engineers
designs mechanical systems for buildings including plumbing, HVAC and fire
protection systems and is involved in the Denver airport expansion project
valued at two billion dollars.
