"Great Teaching and Technology" Seminar Coming to a City Near You

Boston, MA - November 13, 1992. Tom Snyder Productions, award-winning
publisher of K-12 software, video, and videodisc, has launched a new
series of affordable staff development seminars for teachers and
administrators looking for ways to get more mileage out of their schools'
hardware and software.

The "Great Teaching and Technology" Seminars will be offered in nine U.S.
cities throughout the 1992-93 school year (see schedule below).

Tom Snyder Productions has for many years offered schools and districts
onsite in-service training that focuses on common sense strategies for
integrating technology into school curricula. The seminars are offered at
a fraction of the cost of an on-site presentation, and are designed to put
top-notch in-service training in the reach of more schools, in terms of
affordability, convenience, and practicality.

"With the huge wave of new technologies flooding into schools, educators
have a greater need than ever for quality in-service training," says Rick
Abrams, TSP President. "But for many schools and districts, on-site
in-service training for the entire staff is difficult to pull together,
given time, money and scheduling problems. With our program, a school or
district can easily send a few educators to a nearby city for a day of
training. These representatives then return armed with great ideas and
enthusiasm, ready to share their new expertise with colleagues."

The seminars focus on practical, common-sense techniques for using today's
technologies - computers, video and videodisc - in subject areas including
math, science, social studies, language arts, and special education. They
are presented by David O'Neil, TSP's Director of In-Service Programs.

"Our goal is to give teachers techniques they can use in their classrooms
the next day, the next month, and all year long," says O'Neil, who, like
all of TSP's in-service presenters, comes from the classroom. "We present
the most powerful uses of classroom technologies, and model concrete
examples of each in a variety of content areas."

David O'Neil is a Massachusetts certified teacher with degrees from
American University and Harvard University. Before joining Tom Snyder
Productions, he taught at the high school level in New York and in New
England.

The cost of the one-day session is $135 per person, or $100 per person in
groups of three or more. All participants receive the TSP Do-It-Yourself
Workshops Kit ($49.95 value), including two comprehensive guides, video,
and reproducibles; free on-loan software; and 50 percent off the purchase
of any TSP product.

Tom Snyder Productions' highly-praised product line spans the K-12
curriculum, specializing in educational materials that promote cooperative
learning and critical thinking. TSP also offers a full complement of
on-site in-service training and consulting to schools and districts. For
