Central Point Enters Networking Market 
Brings Continuous Virus Management to the PC Enterprise

BEAVERTON, Ore.--Oct. 12, 1992--Central Point Software, Inc. today
announced the creation of the Network and Security Products group,
designed to offer products that make the corporate networking process
safer, simpler and faster. The first product developed by this group,
Central Point Anti-Virus for NetWare, was also announced today, bringing
Continuous Virus Management to the PC enterprise.

The establishment of the Network and Security Products group, led by
Srivats Sampath, is the logical next step for Central Point, a leading
supplier of desktop utilities for DOS, Windows and Macintosh platforms.
Corporations integrating PCs into networks need to incorporate
network-wide strategies for virus, storage and security management.

network administrators and MIS managers a complete and sophisticated set
