Washington, IL, The first subscription electronic clip art service to be
organized in a simple but effective manual filing system will be
introduced to Macintosh and PC users this September by Volk Clip Art.

Volk Clip Art EF (Electronic Format), retains the organizational advantages
of the traditional Volk Clip Art product and its self-indexing system,
while adding the versatility of having the same art on disks.
Illustrations are packaged and stored under alphabetized subject titles in
a compact file box. Users can look at printed pictorial index cards,
quickly access the appropriate disk and have top quality art ready to use
electronically.

A revolutionary advantage of the Volk Clip Art filing system is that with a
combination subscription both electronic and hard copy versions of the
same art can be filed together right on a work surface next to a computer,
using the one-foot square Artfile box, which is provided to every
subscriber. In addition, the user has the advantage of being able to view,
in detail, many illustrations at once on the clearly-printed pictorial
index cards, rather than viewing them one at a time in rough bitmap form
as with current electronic indexing systems.

Volk's unique modular art library concept has resulted in the most
efficient and cost-effective high quality clip art product available.
Contemporary illustrations and designs in a variety of popular styles and
techniques are cataloged under more than 50 subject categories. The
compact, easy-to-use format has made Volk Clip Art a popular and important
illustration resource for over 40 years.

Buyers may purchase the electronic, the traditional or a combination of
both services. Users of the combination hard copy and electronic Volk Clip
Art service will be able to use electronic images; clip, copy or shoot
hard cow images; or use electronic images for position only and substitute
their own high quality camera prints before going to press.

Volk Clip Art EF will also include monthly issues of Office Board, an
information and idea magazine. The magazine will be expanded to 16 pages
from the current 12, in September of 1992. This will accommodate the
informational needs of designers working in both traditional and
electronic formats.

Subscribers to Volk Clip Art EF will receive complete and
easy-to-understand documentation, decompression software and the Volk
Artfile with their first shipment. Each monthly issue of Volk Clip Art EF
will contain an average of over 70 illustrations on approximately 10
disks, divided into four subject category sets. The disks are packed in
pocket sleeves for alphabetical filing with the corresponding 8 by 5 inch
printed pictorial index cards. Disks will be available in 800K for
Macintosh users and in 3.5 inch or 5.25 inch high-density disks for PC
users. Some art files are TIFF images and some files are EPS images. All
files are compressed for compact storage.

The new electronic service sells for $44.50 alone or for $54.40 in
combination with the traditional Volk Clip Art service. Both prices
include shipping Volk Clip Art EF is available by phoning 1800-227-7048,
