GRAF (r) is a general purpose MS-DOS based graph plotting utility,
for plotting many scientific & engineering equations.
The program is self explanatory, however should you still need help,
just type ? at the GRAF prompt.

GRAF supports many powerful features like rectanglar, polar, parametric
plots, capability to perform definite integrals (using simpsons rule),
input and plot stastical data, linear regressions and inequalities.
This is a shareware version of GRAF and may not support all of these
features. Some features would be inferior or altogether absent depending on
what vesrion you have. (To check your version, please run GRAF)
Available features can be found by running the program. However even
with these restrctions, GRAF is still fully functional and is extremely
useful to anybody intending for a quick view of any plot (particularly
engineers and scientists). I don't want to consistantly nag you to buy
the commercial version or to register this one. It's entirely up to you
In fact in my opinion, this is more than sufficient for everyday use.
Still if you want to send some comments or want more info on the full
version of GRAF, please send mail to <amitabh@cyberjunkie.com> with
"GRAF" as the subject.

GRAF is based on routines developed for EVAL and was written using
the Borland Turbo C 2.0 compiler. The EPA libraries, used in writing
this program are avaliable for developing/enhancing your own C programs
For information on this, please send e-mail to to the author at:
<amitabh@cyberjunkie.com> with "EPA-info" as the subject.

GRAF is freeware and the only restriction for distribution is that the
GRAF.EXE and README.TXT files should not be modified in any way and the
EGAVGA.BGI file should be included with our distribution.

GRAF is written by Amitabh Saxena.

Any doubts, suggestions, criticism & bugs can be sent to the author at
<amitabh@cyberjunkie.com>. Please use "graf" as the subject.
Your comments will be highly appreciated.

Thank you for trying out my programs.

GRAF version 1.02 (Shareware)

Information for using graph:

Run graf by typing GRAF on the DOS prompt.
To switch to graphics mode, you require to have EGAVGA.BGI file in the
current directory. The file is included along with GRAF.EXE and it is
suggested that you copy this file in your root directory.
If GRAF doesn't find EGAVGA.BGI, it displays an error message and exits.
If this happens, goto the directory containing the file and run GRAF
from that directory.

Enter expressions as you would write them normally.

GRAF accepts almost all mathematical symbols as operators and the details
can be found by typing ? at GRAF prompt.

To change GRAF settings, type # at the prompt.
To clear screen before plot, suffix a ! before the equation.

About the Author :

Thanks for reading this portion!
Well, my name is Amitabh Saxena and I am a marine engineer. I am currently
working as a 4th Engr on-board ships, though I may quit real soon. I intend
to work only long enough to able to arrange funds for supporing my studies at
Carnegie Mellon University (subject, of course to my getting an admit there).
It has been my dream since very early years and I intend to realise it someday.
I know it's very tough and scholarships are rare, but I am willing to give it
a try anyway. If anybody at Carnegie happens to glance at this, he/she can
oblige me by dropping a few lines at <amitabh@cyberjunkie.com> .... :)
