REFERENCES Bibliographic Software for MS DOS Version 3.5
`TO DO's for this and future version(s) (c) V. Kiefel, 1995-2000
=============================================================================

  - Tutorial for the RefFormatD (Format Definition) mechanism (in the form of
    a text file).

  - A menu-driven AWK script for the automatic generation of format
definitions which could create a FORMDEF.TXT text file. As an
alternative, an annotated `master' FORMDEF.TXT file for manual writing of
    format definitions.

  - Alternative option for data entry: Text file with field-tags, which is
converted into an ARR-file and then imported. The format of the data
entry file das to be defined and a conversion tool must be written
(AWK-script?). The advantage: Working with an editor may be more
    efficient.

  - Enhancements for the sorting options for BBT/TBT-files (AWK-Scripts on
    TBT-files).

  - More importing tools for online file format (currently realized:
MEDLINE-format, experienced users are invited to contribute their
    solutions)

  - Batch functions for the "SearchR" command: more than one search command
    lines produce BBT-files.

  - Actualization and additions to the INTERNET.ENG text file (informations
    of REFERENCES users are welcome)

  - AWK-Scripts for conversion of archive formats between different versions
    of REFERENCES.

  - Translation of the text files REFSDOK.GER, PUBLISH.GER, TECHDOC.GER,
    TUTORIAL.GER, GLOSSAR.GER into English.

  - Export of citations from REFERENCES into other bibliographic formats, e.
    g. MEDLINE (does anybody need this?), could be done with a special export
format definition/AWK script (this has already been done for the BibTeX
    format)
