Г   About two weeks before the party Epox, Stoker and me decided to attend   Г
Г   the Bizarre Demo Net Party III. Since we planned to take some computer   Г
Г   equipment with us, we decided to go by car.  My car was much too small   Г
Г   for that purpose  (Rover Mini),  Stoker does not  even have a driver's   Г
Г   license and our decision fell on Epox' Nissan.                           Г
Г   Epox promised to pick me up at my house at 13.3o, 'cos we wanted to be   Г
Г   at the party place at 15.oo.  When it was 14.oo I decided to call Epox   Г
Г   and ask, if he perhaps died, or something.  But that was  not the case   Г
Г   and he finally arrived at my house at 14.15. As we arrived at Stoker's   Г
Г   house,  Epox first noticed,  that he  forgot some  important pieces of   Г
Г   equipment.  We were lucky, that Stoker could take the parts missing in   Г
Г   Epox' gear from his computer cave.                                       Г
Г   When we arrived at the party place it started to get dark. After about   Г
Г   15 minutes of searching for a parking lot we found one.  I stepped out   Г
Г   of the car and into something soft. I thought, please let it be no dog   Г
Г   shit, but my prayer was not heard. It was dogshit. Looked like the dog   Г
Г   had had a good case of diarrhia :( When Epox started to pick his  com-   Г
Г   puter out of the car he was suddenly struck by the fact that he forgot   Г
Г   his power supply cable at home.  There was no other possibility,  than   Г
Г   to buy one. We went into 'Saturn am Alex' and found out, that we would   Г
Г   have to pay 17,95 DM for that crappy little cable. After having waited   Г
Г   at the cash register for 20 min and paid, it seemed like we had every-   Г
Г   thing we needed.                                                         Г
Г   But now it got really late and we were not able to find parking space.   Г
Г   After 45 min of desparate  search we found a parking lot in about 1 km   Г
Г   from the party place. Carrying all our equipment through  the coldness   Г
Г   sucked pretty bad. But at least we had arrived.                          Г
Г   The party room was crammed full of people.  There were no free tables,   Г
Г   and the organizers (thanx) built us a kind of provisional table out of   Г
Г   to little camping desks and a board.  It is still beyond my understan-   Г
Г   ding, that it did not break down a single time.                          Г
Г   The following compos were to be carried out: Intro/Demo-Compo, 4 Chan-   Г
Г   nel Chiptune-Compo, ANSI/ASCII-Fast-Compo, GFX-Compo, Remix-Compo  and   Г
Г   of course Multichannel-Compo.  Tuscon  (the organizers) wanted a wild-   Г
Г   compo, too, but since there were 0 entries they had to drop that idea.   Г
Г   A pity, if you ask me..                                                  Г
Г   Since Epox  and me planned to compete in Multichannel-Compo and Remix-   Г
Г   Compo the first thing we had to do, was to finish our entries for Mul-   Г
Г   ti-Channel-Compo.  It was 18.oo and the deadline  was at 22.oo, but we   Г
Г   had to hurry, because the Remix-Compo started at 2o.oo.    We finished   Г
Г   our songs right in time to start with da Remix-Compo. Well, in my opi-   Г
Г   nion the Remix-Compo sucked, simply because the original song was  un-   Г
Г   remixable.  Epox,  me and some other guests gave up after two hours of   Г
Г   trying (Hi, Axess!). Meanwhile there were several deadlines and people   Г
Г   gave  their works to da organizers.                                      Г
Г   The last deadline (Remix-Compo) was at 24.oo and we had absolutely no-   Г
Г   thing to do. We spent our time talking to some guys from bpr  and sac.   Г
Г   Sinus burned a scene-stuff '96 CD-ROM for us (thanx again dude), since   Г
Г   no one in dECAY has got a CD-Writer :(                                   Г
Г   I do not remember when exactly all the compo-entries were shown  (beer   Г
Г   rooolez!!), but I'm pretty sure it was around 3.oo.  When  we had seen   Г
Г   and heard everything it was 5.oo :) Though  there were  some technical   Г
Г   problems (f.e. one of the intros/demos didn't run)  I enjoyed it.  The   Г
Г   results were ready in about and our. With some frustration we  noticed   Г
Г   that people still prefer techno (boom-boom-boom) to more calm, melodic   Г
Г   songs. Since only the three best entries were announced I still  don't   Г
Г   know how our songs were voted.                                           Г
Г   After that we had some good games of dynablaster against some sac-guys   Г
Г   (Hi, Spoon!).  Since the party seemed to break up  (many were leaving,   Г
Г   even more were packing their equipment) we decided to leave, too.        Г

Г   Fazit: A good party in my opinion, maybe a little low on spontanity.     Г
Г                                                                            Г
Г   Things to be improved: Voting system!!                                   Г
Г                                                                            Г
Г   Greetings: all dECAY pOSSE, all bPR-cREW, especially 4tune and axess,    Г
Г              sinus (thx for the CD), the SAC-Guys we played dyna with,     Г
Г              and furthermore universe, dyma, speaker, butcher/demons,      Г
Г	       delight, tuscon and everybody else i forgot.                  Г
