  Hi!

  ..:: Introduction ::..
  Thank you for spending some of that valuable download-time on Exploration.
  We hope you will enjoy it. It's not very big yet, but you can change this!
  We do need a lot more articles for Exploration 2. So if you want to get
  your group known, start writing us: explizit@dds.nl

  ..:: Exploration needs ::..
  Exploration 1 will need about 550 kb of free DOS memory, and 850 kb of
  free EMS (less if you have a GUS). GUS people should also have at least
  512 kb of RAM installed on the GUS.

  Exploration will play music thru GUS, SB, SBPro and compatibles.

  Exploration 1 will work fine with any standard VESA card. If you do
  encounter problems, try loading UNIVBE.EXE. You probably have this driver
  already somewhere on your harddisk. If not, download it at a local board.

  Exploration runs under Windows 95!! If you have any problems (also for
  DOS users) simply remove all crap from config and autoexec. You should
  try running with the /nosound option, the player is kind of buggy. :-)
  You really need an XMS/EMS driver (Himem.sys/Emm386.exe) and the
  Blaster/Ultrasnd settings. You also need a mouse driver if you want to
  use the mouse. Exploration supports keyboard as well.

  Problems have been reported when running under QEMM. This problem is
  under investigation, but there's no fix for it yet. If you were smart
  before reading this DOC you had two different boot-options setup, so
  hit Ctrl-Alt-Del now and boot with EMM386 :).

  We haven't done any extensive betatesting, but i think exploration runs
  fine for on most PC's. If you keep bouncing into problems, please let us
  know so we can fix it for the next version, or code a patch for this
  version.

  ..:: Keys You Can Use ::..

  You can change the color of the articles by pressing:
  + for next color
  - for previous color
  There are a total of 16 colors, which are identical with the normal
  DOS-TEXT colors. DarkCyan still looks best, though ;-)

  ARROW UP SYMBOL: Scroll the selection up
  ARROW DN SYMBOL: Scroll the selection down
  QUIT SYMBOL : Exit, ...you know. :-)

  And use those keys for:
  ARROW UP: Scroll the selection up
  ARROW DN: Scroll the selection down
  ENTER : View current selected article or play current selected song.

  F3: "Divided By Zero" by Phonc(ie)

  ..::. Commandline Parameters .::..
  You can shut off the music, try this if it crashes. You can try to
  imagine the modules then :-)
  To start Exploration without music enter EXPLORE.EXE /nosound
                                           EXPLORE.EXE /ns
  You can also skip the intro, saves you some time :)
  Enter EXPLORE.EXE /nointro
        EXPLORE.EXE /ni
  We made this because in betaversions, loading of the globe gfx would
  take up 9.5 seconds. But LightWing managed to optimise it to 0.2 secs =]

  ..::. EXPLORATiON CONTRiBUTORS .::..
  VERY big thanks to all these contributors, without whom exploration

  As you can see, we have included a small article with all Dutch music
  groups and their WHQ's. If you are not listed, please leave us a messie
  on the net or on an HQ board, listed in explizit.nfo. If you want to
  make sure your message gets through call me on +31-43-3638243, 28k8, 24h.

  You can also send us your group addie or board addie. Any scene board
  syzo's: send your bannerfile (you know the thing you stamp on ZIPs) to us!
  We will include your BBS advertisment in the next version. Groups can also
  submit addies for new members/distro's etc.

  To be short, exploration needs lots of more stuff to publish. If you
  enjoy writing textfiles, let us know, so you can be included in the normal
  staff. Any graphicians can also submit their graphics.

  ..:: Closing ::..
  Well, thanks again, and let us know what you think about it.

                                 Have a nice X,
                                 Ch:ilm / Explizit.
