Or, from Windows, use the File Manager to double click on INSTALL.BAT in either A or B drive. The Install program creates a directory called KIDWARE on your C drive. 2. To set up an icon in Windows for any of these games: From Program Manager, click on the File Menu. Click on New from the drop down menu. If you want to open a special window, click on New Group and call it KIDWARE. Then reselect New.. from the File menu to add the various programs. Select New Program from the dialog box. For Deal a Fortune, type DEAL A FORTUNE in the Description box and C:\KIDWARE\DEAL.EXE in the box below. For Wordwiz, type WORDWIZ for the description and C:\KIDWARE\WORDWIZ.EXE in the box below. To install NUMERO, type NUMERO in the description field and C:\KIDWARE\NUMERO.EXE in the command line field. IF YOU ARE WISHING TO ADD WORDS TO DEAL A FORTUNE, you will also need to add a file called ADD-FORT.EXE to your Kidware window. ********************************************************************* SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS ********************************************************************* Kidware programs require special hardware and software conditions. You need the following to run Kidware -- IBM type computer or clone using 286 processor chip or higher -- hard disk -- CGA, EGA, VGA or Hercules video -- a mouse -- Microsoft Windows 3.0 or higher running in STANDARD or ENHANCED mode -- 1 megabyte memory Additionally, you need a file called VBRUN100.DLL. This is not supplied with the shareware release of KIDWARE. Quite freqently, it is downloadable from Bulletin board systems or may be purchased separately from disk clubs. This file must be copy to a directory in your system path. Usually, it is in the WINDOWS directory, which is almost always in the DOS path.
