DOS FORMAT PATCHES DOS 2.0 & DOS 2.1 format programs have a limitation that causes a "Track 0 Defective" message to be displayed if a media defect is found above a 16 megabyte storage range. The following patch procedure will correct the problem. Copy DEBUG.COM and format.com to a spare diskette. Bracketed portions are operator entries ie.[example] = return key.
